Springbrook Nature Center Founded in 1980, the Springbrook Nature Center programs and events are organized by the Itasca Park District. The property is owned by Village of Itasca.

Help Us Protect Springbrook Nature Center 🌳

We are heartbroken to report that for the past several months, trees have been illegally cut down at the Springbrook Nature Center This ongoing vandalism is harming the natural beauty of our space and the habitat it provides for local wildlife. The Itasca Park District is working with the Itasca Police Department to investigate these incidents. If you see suspicious activity, please snap a photo and report it to our page or contact the police.
Let’s stand together to protect this special place. Your help can make a difference. If you see something, say something.

Spend a week of your summer in the rainforest with us! Each day we’ll explore a different layer of the tropical rainforest through crafts, activities, and hands-on experiments. Campers will learn about the incredible plants and animals that call the rainforest home — and even the foods that grow there! We’ll wrap up the week with a special look at The Lorax by Dr. Seuss and the importance of protecting our natural world.
