US National Weather Service Medford Oregon has us keeping our fingers crossed, as we hope to finally have a buoy back in action off the southern Oregon coast that would help our #fishermen. A buoy near Eureka caught the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bluefin finishing up some work: "Following completion of work there, the Bluefin will continue north up the coast in an effort to redeploy buoy 46015 off Port Orford. Deployment is expected to be completed within the next few days, pending weather conditions. Note that deployment will be done in the vicinity of 42.732N 124.818W. We would like to request that any vessels navigating in this area please take extra caution to avoid interfering with deployment, or the buoy itself after it has been deployed. The buoy has not been in place for the better part of two and a half years, so charts and other navigational aids may not be up-to-date." #SemperParatus
This morning, U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bluefin assisted four people whose boat was taking on water near Cape Lookout, North Carolina. BZ to the crew for helping de-water the vessel to get the flooding under control! #USCG #CoastGuard #SAR
Great crew! Awesome job on the tour today. BZ!!
