🚑💚 **National Night Out 2026!** 💙🚔

National Night Out is a great reminder that strong communities start with neighbors getting to know neighbors.

This week, we were proud to be at **Vibe Park in Virginia Beach** for National Night Out—a nationwide event focused on strengthening police-community partnerships, celebrating our neighborhoods, and showing appreciation for the law enforcement officers and first responders who serve our community every day.

It was great seeing so many of our neighbors come out, connect, and enjoy an evening together. We were especially proud to spend time alongside so many of our fellow first responders, including Marked Patrol Units, SWAT, Mounted Patrol, VBPD Bike Units, Fire Department and other public safety partners.

Events like National Night Out give us the opportunity to put faces to the uniforms, build relationships, answer questions, and remind our community that we're all part of the same team.

Thank you to everyone who came out, said hello, shared a conversation, and helped make the evening such a great celebration of our community!

🚑💚 Today's Community Heroes are Learning Tomorrow's Lifesaving Lessons! 💚🚑

A huge THANK YOU to Emily Mills, Rosser Bobbitt, and Lee McCardell for volunteering their time to represent the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad at the Princess Anne Country Club Summer Camp!

By teaching campers what to do during an emergency, introducing them to emergency medical equipment, and helping them understand how EMS responds when someone needs help, Emily gave these young community members something incredibly valuable—knowledge and confidence.

At the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, we believe that Neighbors Saving Neighbors begins with education. The more our community understands how to recognize an emergency, call for help, and support one another, the stronger and safer Virginia Beach becomes.

At the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, we believe in Neighbors Saving Neighbors. 🌕🚑 A Full Moon Over Virginia Beach… and VBVRS Was Ready.

Wednesday night's full moon spent much of the evening tucked behind the clouds, only making a brief appearance during the early morning hours—just long enough for us to capture this photo.

While the moon remained hidden for most of the night, the dedicated volunteers of the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad never missed a beat. Our VBVRS ambulance crews were on the road throughout the night, ready to respond whenever our community needed us and proud to support the City of Virginia Beach.

The first photo captures a fleeting glimpse of the full moon. The next photos capture — our volunteer crews who dedicated their night to serving others.

To every volunteer who gives their time, energy, and compassion—thank you. Your commitment, professionalism, and selfless service make a difference with every response.
