Virginia Natural Gas is excited to support the Virginia Beach SPCA in their efforts to expand their Humane Education Program that teaches respect, empathy and kindness to children across our communities. And couldn't we all use a little more of that these days? #VNGCares

Thank you to Virginia Natural Gas for providing a grant for the VBSPCA Humane Education Program! These funds will be used to teach children about respect, empathy, and kindness in an effort to create a more compassionate community. We could not educate thousands of children each year without philanthropic support.

Volunteers from Virginia Natural Gas rolled up their sleeves recently and got dirty by planting a Monarch Pollinator Garden to help the some of the millions of Monarch butterflies that migrate from the U.S. to Mexico return to Southeastern Virginia in the spring. Working closely with the The Virginia Living Museum, volunteers planted milkweed and pollinator flowers behind the Virginia Beach corporate office with hopes of building more gardens at our other service centers and throughout the local community. #VNGCares #butterfliesandblooms #butterflygarden

Happy Arbor Day! With our longstanding commitment to maintaining and improving our environment, volunteers from Virginia Natural Gas recently worked alongside conservationists from The Nature Conservancy to help restore the longleaf pine forest in the Piney Grove Preserve in Sussex County, Va. In just a four-hour period, they were able to plant more than 300 seedlings to help restore the once iconic forest. This latest event brings our total to more than 1,000 seedlings planted across the 2,700 acre forest preserve. To help further our contribution, VNG also presented The Nature Conservancy with a $15,000 donation. #ArborDay2021 #VNGCares

Check our tips for safely digging at home! Always contact Virginia811 before any project to request that the approximate location of buried utilities be marked with paint or flags. It's the law. This helps to ensure you don’t unintentionally dig into an underground utility line. Once all utilities have marked their buried lines, you should dig carefully around any utility marks and consider relocating projects that are close to buried utilities.

It's National Work Zone Awareness week! In this throwback photo to 2019, our team members are sporting their orange for “Go Orange Day” to show support for work zone safety and remind drivers to use caution when driving through work zones. Remember to always follow Move Over Laws, which require motorists to move over and change lanes to give safe clearance to law enforcement officers, firefighters, ambulances, utility workers and tow-truck drivers. It’s the right thing to do – and it’s the law. #MoveOVerVa

Is anyone else having trouble making online payments? I try to login and it won’t allow me to and if I try to login as a guest it redirects me back to the original login page. I really don’t want to have to pay a third-party company a fee over the phone just to pay my gas bill.
Beware of “Pivitol Home Solutions” letters hawking gas line protection insurance. They use VNG Logo on their letter, say that “Virginia Natural Gas is pleased to introduce Pivotal Home Solutions....” Yet in the footnotes it says “Pivotal Home Solutions is not affiliated with Virginia Natural Gas.” What? Using their logo, pleased to announce, But not affiliated? SCAM ALERT! No, called VGN and they are perfectly ok with the deception. Wow!
Why have an online service request if you ignore the information typed into the form? I submitted a request to have service put back in my name on 22 December. On the form I put a contact number and email address and requested updates via email--there was an issue with the account that prevented the service connect and your company called a disconnected phone number that hasn't been in my name since 2016 and never bothered to look at the submitted form. Because of this, our house has been without heat since the 23rd of December! Winter in Virginia, water and power has remained on (both water and power had zero issues using e-mail as a contact medium--your customer service reps both stated that e-mail is not generally used by you). Thanks for causing headaches for those of us overseas. Good job Virginia Natural Gas; glad it has been a mild winter so far and no pipes have frozen.
Virginia Natural Gas, What is the estimated timeline for completion AND restoration of our property to its original condition in the Northampton area of Hampton, VA? The cheap fill dirt/cinders are washing away into the gutters. Who is going to clean this? When? Also, I have a new hole in my yard that requires to be filled with TOPSOIL, before someone gets hurt! Remember; Safety First! One more thing, there is an unused empty work trailer parked on Londonshire Terrace (with cones). It has been parked (and not used) in the same location for many weeks. Can it be moved to a safer location? I believe the City of Hampton has an ordinance about extended parking of commercial vehicles on city streets. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT BEING USED! IT IS BEING STORED!
Is Virginia Natural Gas webpage down? Unable to login on webpage.
Hi, I'm posting this on your page as a last resort, since all other avenues of communication have been a complete failure. I have been trying to have my bill corrected since 13 Feb 2020. I paid $607.68 via phone 9 months ago, yet it has not been reflected on my monthly statements. I provided a receipt that shows proof of payment via email. I have called & emailed ([email protected]) numerous times since February. Each time the phone rep apologizes and assures me that my account will reflect my previous payment within 48hrs, yet that has not happened in 9 months. It has become a very stressful and frustrating situation. As an active duty military member, I pride myself on ensuring that I keep my word and follow through with my promised actions. It is disappointing that I have been continually let down by your company. Thank you for your time.
The digger your crew is using at Leonard Rd and Tidewater Dr in Norfolk is being stored in a bad location. It makes it difficult for residents who are leaving Oakdale Farms via Leonard Rd to see the traffic coming from the left on Tidewater Dr. As you can see you need to pull past the stop bar to see traffic which puts the front of the car in a lane of travel. Can it please be stored somewhere else or can you advise me on who to contact?
Hi, I had a contractor of yours come on to my property unannounced. He stated that he was checking the gas meter when I approached him. We put up fences for privacy and security, and while I understand the need for you all to check your equipment, a courtesy knock, call, text or letter is needed. There is nothing okay with strangers opening gates and entering property unannounced, especially when pets and children may be present. I think the guy was from Stillman.
Convenience fee my ass! So stupid a big utility company like you has a third party vendor taking some of our money. Wonder who got a kickback for that dumb ass move? You can bet someone did. Makes no sense at all.
Are you charging those of us who pay our bills on time for those who've found themselves unemployed right now? My wife and I are FURIOUS about our budget doubling for the summer months and nothing in our history justifies it.
Has your company LOST their ever loving minds? We just got our "new" gas budget, which YOU doubled!!!! We don't use gas for May, June, July, August, September and usually not even for November and yet you've DOUBLED our budget. We don't want to be paid $500 ahead for the winter!!!
It's time VNG customers raised their voices to complain about bill payment options. To charge a fee to set up an ACH debit or pay with a credit/debit card is ridiculous. No other company with whom I've ever done business - with the exception of insurance companies - has charged a fee to make a payment.
