Some more history about the Dr’s house. On my last visit, the owner was gracious enough to show me some signs from the homes first iteration as a bed and breakfast of sorts named Poplar Grove” #𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡

I had the privilege of chatting with the kind owner of the “doctor’s house” in Historic Oceana Gardens last week, and I learned a lot of awesome history. Probably the coolest fact is that over 800 babies were born in this home before the birthing center moved to a new VB General Hospital.

For those of you that live in the neighborhood and would like to help maintain its history, please consider attending the civic league reboot meeting at the oceanfront library at 5:30pm on 6/17.

Not OG, but just east, Abondoned and forgotten decades ago, a 1950’s school bus in a feeder creek to the Lynnhaven River...
