Out here in the grit and chaos of the front lines, the flag on my shoulder reminds me of every veteran who stood their ground before me. Today, on Veterans Day, we honour the brave men and women whose courage shaped our path, whose sacrifice strengthened our nation, and whose spirit still carries us forward. Their service is our guiding star in the field, at home, and forever.

Service is more than a duty—it's a way of life. Through every challenge, victory, and sacrifice, I’ve learned the true meaning of honor, loyalty, and resilience. Proud to have served, and grateful for the lessons that will guide me in the next chapter. The uniform may come off, but the spirit of a soldier lives on. Always ready, always strong. 🇺🇸 .

🌍 Reflections on Service and Life Beyond 🌍
As I look back on my years of service, I'm filled with a deep sense of pride and gratitude. The journey has been long, often challenging, but always rewarding. Each mission, each day, has been a testament to the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of every man and woman I’ve had the honor to serve alongside. But as the chapter of active duty begins to close, a new one opens, filled with possibilities, new challenges, and opportunities to continue making a difference. The values instilled in me by the military, integrity, honor, and a commitment to something greater than oneself, will guide me into this next phase.

defines who we are as Soldiers and Leaders.
For morning, Soldiers assessed their personal character strengths and discussed how understanding their own strengths, along with understanding the character of their teammates, supports a cohesive team built on mutual trust and understanding.
1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley Commanding General, MG Sims also dropped in for a visit and emphasized how understanding character traits develops the social, emotional, spiritual, and family domains of strength. Sustain to Victory! Duty First, People Always, All Else Follows!

No army can be greater than the quality of its soldiers. In addition to being a warrior, the soldier is a citizen, and with that citizenship comes the highest honor and responsibility: to serve and defend one’s country
