Former SEKI Interpreter Dawn Ryan shared with us that Jim Hogan, who worked with Buildings & Grounds and Historic Preservation under the Maintenance Division, died on September 10. He was 73 years old. He retired in 2014 from these parks, and relocated to Pinehurst, Idaho that same year. His obituary states that “he was all about people having a good laugh, enjoying their time with him, and he knew life was about the memories you make.”

Our brave friend, Angela, has been keeping a secret - for the past 9 months, she has… Isabel Alvarado needs your support for Angela Clary's Journey to Health

Former SEKI employee Tor Skeen recently lost his home and all he owned to the Beachie Creek Fire in Oregon. Please consider donating to help him recover some of his losses, by visiting this GoFundMe site - https://gf.me/u/yy9i3y. Tor grew up in Three Rivers and worked in SEKI as a Trailhead Ranger and in the Wilderness Office. After graduating from Northern Arizona University, Tor spent 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving honorably at numerous American Embassies. In 2019, Tor landed his dream job, protecting the public and natural resources on the Willamette National Forest. He was away at training (and his dog Major staying with his parents in Montana) when the fire burned through the ranger district where he lived. Our hearts go out to Tor.
