Today, the Assembly Republican Caucus announced that Assemblywoman Alexandra Macedo (R-Tulare) has been elected as the new Assembly Minority Leader.

Incoming Assembly Minority Leader Macedo and the Assembly Republican Caucus are laser-focused on a shared priority: protecting California families and small businesses from the relentless affordability crisis gripping our state.

From sky-high gas prices to soaring utility rates and rising taxes, everyday Californians are facing unsustainable economic pressures.

“I am deeply honored by the trust my colleagues have placed in me, and I am proud to stand alongside a unified caucus dedicated to real, common-sense solutions,” said Leader Alexandra M. Macedo. “Our message is clear: California is becoming unaffordable for working families, and our caucus is united in the fight to bring down the cost of living, make our communities safer and hold state bureaucrats accountable.”

Macedo continued, “As I step into this role, I want to thank Leader Emeritus Heath Flora for his service and commitment to our caucus. His work is appreciated.”

Assembly Republicans stand together to push back against Sacramento’s costly policies and bring down the state's high cost of living.

To round out Macedo's leadership team, the caucus also elected Assemblyman David Tangipa (R-Fresno) as Minority Whip, Assemblyman Josh Hoover (R-Folsom) as Minority Floor Leader, Assemblywoman Natasha Johnson (R-Lake Elsinore) as Minority Caucus Chair, and Assemblyman Joe Patterson (R-Rocklin) as Minority Deputy Leader.

Big news for Highway 99! ✨

Honored to celebrate the opening of the new Agri-Center Interchange alongside local leaders and community partners!

This project will make a huge difference in easing traffic flow, especially during the Farm Show.

This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the late Manuel Faria Jr.’s incredible generosity in donating the land.

Thank you to everyone who poured years of hard work into making this critical infrastructure project a reality!

I sounded the alarm on Medi-Cal fraud in California.
Hundreds of fake hospice agencies.
Ghost patients.
Nearly a billion in taxpayer dollars stolen.
This is a direct result of the failed leadership of Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom

Last night on Fox News @ Night , we called out what happens when the political establishment gets entirely out of touch with everyday voters. Pushing an extreme, radical democratic socialist platform without accountability or vetting shows just how broken the system has become.

People are tired of the extreme agendas—whether on the national stage or right here in California. We need common sense, transparency, and leaders who actually represent the people.💥

Drop a 💯 if you’re ready for a return to common sense!

🚨 A loophole for predators in California?
A common-sense law meant to block convicted s*xual predators from running for public office was just completely derailed.
The shocking twist? A state senator amended the bill so it only applies if the victim was an adult. That means individuals convicted of ra**ng or trafficking children could still run for:
School boards 🏫
City councils 🏛️
The state legislature 🗳️
This isn’t politics—it’s a direct failure to protect our most vulnerable. Convicted s*x offenders have absolutely no business holding public office. Period.
Drop a 👇 if you agree we need to close this loophole immediately.

California’s dairy farmers are the backbone of our agricultural economy, producing world-class milk, cheese, butter and ice cream.

They support thousands of job across our state.

Their hard work, innovation and commitment to caring for their animals and the land help feed families and strengthen communities every single day.

Thank you to our California dairy farmers for all you do to keep our state—and our economy—strong. 🐄🥛🌾

Today, the California State Assembly celebrated June as Dairy Month! 🐄🥛

California is proud to be the nation’s leading dairy state for more than two decades.

99% of California dairy farms are family-owned.

Dairy farmers and processors provide the best milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, ice cream, and more that reach families across the nation! 🧀

Residents of Plainview are without water.

Thanks to Niagara Bottling especially David Juarez for the generous support, and a shout out to the dedicated staff at Sunnyside Union Elementary School District for their volunteerism.

As the Assemblywoman‚ I cannot begin to express my frustration that Governor Newsom continues to prioritize the High‑speed Rail with a $1 billion funding a year over water infrastructure to secure water for residents.

It is infuriating that we live in the fourth largest economy in the world‚ and our residents live without reliable drinking water.
