Instead of canvassing in the heat today, we're phone banking!

The Founder’s Day Parade is Saturday at 3 PM. The staging area is between Wabash Street and Huntington Street on Fulton St., Fulton Street is located directly across from Shepherd Chevrolet.

Whoever is driving anything needs to be there between 1:00 and 2:30 (the Moore’s with their blue Corvette) to get their number and give them position anybody who’s walking or riding can get there by 2:45pm because the parade starts at 3:00pm.

We have flyers and candy to hand out.

Wear your Wabash County Democrat shirt or one supporting a candidate. Add in some red, white and blue then you’re good to go!

Yesterday the world lost a woman who walked the walk. A tiny woman who cared about people not politics. She leaves an incredible legacy behind; a legacy of kindness, love and lifting people up.

She believed literacy was the key to giving a person a good start in life. Her Dolly Parton Imagination Library supplied books to children across the US and has expanded to other countries as well.

How can we each be a little more like Dolly? We could wear more rhinestones, stilettos or big blond wigs! Or better yet we could keep her dream alive. Donations can be made to her Imagination Library. If you are looking for a way to memorialize her see the link below.

Please let us know if you are interested in getting yard signs in support of candidates. Pepper Snyder, Cynthia Weir, Beau Bayh, etc.

We don’t have all of them yet but knowing interest would be helpful.

Huntington: 10:00 a.m.–Noon & 5:30–8:00 p.m.

Tuesday
Huntington: 10:00 a.m.–Noon
Lagro: 5:30–8:00 p.m.

Wednesday
Huntington: 10:00 a.m.–Noon-ish. Possibly longer.
Roann: 5:30–8:00 p.m.

Thursday
Wabash: 10:00 a.m.–Noon
Huntington: 5:30–8:00 p.m.

Some of our county’s candidates will be walking around downtown this evening for First Friday. The Wabash County Democrats will have a table set up outside of Bellazo’s on Market Street. Stop by and say 👋!
