Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, America and the world were forever changed.

Today, the Waco Central Texas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever impacted, and the first responders and everyday heroes who demonstrated extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and service.

For many of us, September 11 is a memory we will never forget. For our children and teens, it is history. That makes it our responsibility to ensure the next generation understands not only the tragedy of that day, but also what emerged in its aftermath courage, compassion, unity, service, and neighbors standing together.

As we nurture future leaders, may we continue teaching our children that even in the most difficult moments, how we show up for one another matters. May they lead with compassion, value their communities, serve others, and understand the responsibility we all share in caring for one another.

Scripture reminds us:

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” ~Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. We teach. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Our little Jacks and Jills are ready to TEE UP this weekend for an exciting day on the green! It’s a one-of-a-kind children’s golf clinic led by LPGA Champion Marti Longoria-Potts, where our children will be introduced to the game of golf while building confidence, coordination, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to two of our very own — Dr. Larissa Garth, Parliamentarian, and IPVP Wendy Bell — both selected as 2026–2027 Jacqueline Bostic Institute for Impactful Leadership (JBIIL) Ambassadors in Training representing the Waco Central Texas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.!

Both ladies will join an incredible cohort of women from across the South Central Region for a year of intentional leadership development, meaningful connection, personal growth, and service-focused impact.

To be chosen for this distinguished program is no small thing — and it comes as no surprise to those of us who have watched Dr. Garth and IPVP Bell lead, serve, and show up with excellence time and time again.

We know they will represent Waco Central Texas beautifully, and we cannot wait to celebrate all they will learn, accomplish, and bring back to our chapter and community. 🩷💙

We are proud to introduce Deidre S. Lindsey, PharmD, MBA, 29th National President of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. 

A member of the Indianapolis Chapter in the Mid-Western Region since 2008, Dr. Lindsey brings nearly two decades of progressive leadership to the National Office. Her Jack and Jill journey has included service as two-term Chapter President, Mid-Western Regional Director and, most recently, National Treasurer. Throughout her service, she has championed leadership development, strong governance and thoughtful stewardship while creating opportunities that prepare mothers to lead at every level of the organization. 

Dr. Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She also completed an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Professionally, she brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and currently leads a national team of specialized medical professionals. 

As 29th National President, Dr. Lindsey leads with a vision grounded in The Power of Us: Empowered Mothers. Joyful Families. Strengthening Communities. Her vision is one where mothers lead with confidence, families thrive through meaningful experiences, children are equipped to reach their fullest potential and communities are strengthened through our collective purpose and service.

We are proud to introduce Fatimah Moody, 2026–2028 National Vice President of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.

A member of the Loudoun County, Virginia Chapter in the Eastern Region since 2007, Mrs. Moody has served Jack and Jill at the chapter, regional and national levels. Most recently, she served as the 23rd Eastern Regional Director, where her leadership helped expand middle school programming, leadership development and opportunities for members and teens across the region.

Mrs. Moody brings more than 25 years of management consulting experience advising corporations, federal agencies, higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations on strategy, governance, organizational transformation and leadership development. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

As National Vice President, Mrs. Moody will focus on strengthening the member experience, supporting thoughtful organizational growth and helping mothers navigate every stage of their Jack and Jill journey through The Power of Us: Empowered Mothers. Joyful Families. Strengthening Communities.

We are proud to introduce Jennifer Jackson, CPA, 2026–2028 National Treasurer of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.

A member of the Woodlands Chapter in the South Central Region since 2014, Mrs. Jackson brings a strong record of financial leadership to the National Executive Board. Her Jack and Jill service has included chapter financial leadership, national and regional Budget and Finance committees and, most recently, service as South Central Regional Treasurer, where she expanded financial education, reporting and resources for chapter leaders and members.

Mrs. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Prairie View A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Professionally, she serves as Chief Financial Officer at Munich Re Trading, LLC, bringing more than 30 years of experience in accounting, strategic financial planning and financial oversight.

As National Treasurer, Mrs. Jackson will champion fiscal precision, transparency and sound stewardship while expanding financial resources and education for leaders across the organization under The Power of Us: Empowered Mothers. Joyful Families. Strengthening Communities.
