🚧Construction update! There is currently no access to the Wadena County Courthouse from Jefferson Street due to construction. Please use the rear entrance on the west side of the building to access departments within the courthouse. There are signs on the doors and there is a map attached to this post.

Our office has received multiple scam reports of individuals claiming to be representatives of the Sheriff’s Office and Court staff. We will never call you to collect fines. If you receive a suspicious call do not give out any personal information and call with any questions.

A little bit of non-weather related news

The Lakes Area SWAT Team (Wadena, Hubbard, and Becker Counties)recently sent three new operators to Basic SWAT Training hosted by Red River Valley SWAT. One of those attendees was our very own Deputy Nurnberger.

Throughout the week, Deputy Nurnberger demonstrated exceptional leadership, hard work, determination, and teamwork. In recognition of his efforts, Red River Valley SWAT and his classmates selected him as the “Operator of the Week.”

We are proud that when our deputies attend training, they represent the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office with leadership, integrity, and trust.
