Our Intro to Disc Golf class through St. Cloud Area Community Education was all about first-time players stepping out, trying something new and discovering a sport they didn’t know they’d love!

From learning how to grip and throw a disc to celebrating those first successful drives, participants built confidence with every toss. There were plenty of laughs, a few “almost made it!” moments and a whole lot of cheering each other on along the way.

Whether it was their first time holding a disc or their first time on a course, everyone walked away with new skills, confidence and a new appreciation for the game.

Last week, students who joined the Future Teacher Academy spent a week on St. Cloud State University's campus, where they participated in classes, stayed in the dorms and learned about college life.
