Today is Election Day, and one final time, I humbly ask for your support and your vote.

This July will mark eight years of service in the Clerk’s Office. I may be young, but I am not inexperienced. I have nearly eight years of hands on, on the job training and real world experience. I have worked directly with the public, our staff, insurance companies, other elected officials, and circuit judges. I am cross trained on both the county and circuit sides of the office and understand the responsibilities each side carries.

I have had the privilege of working under three exceptional clerks, Mrs. Barbara Whitley, Mrs. Tracy McPherson, and Ms. Brianna Freeman, who have poured their knowledge and leadership into me. I would not be where I am today without their mentorship, and I am forever grateful for each of them.

I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a registered Republican. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Leadership from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, and I currently serve as a City Council member. Whether it involves budgeting, assisting with circuit court procedures, managing land records, or overseeing the many other responsibilities our office handles, I am prepared to step in and lead effectively on day one.

Win or lose, I trust that it will be God’s plan. I will accept the outcome with grace, knowing that His will is always greater than our own. As Scripture reminds us: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

I am incredibly proud of Scott County, and I am ready to continue serving the wonderful people of this county with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.

Today, I respectfully ask for your vote.

Vote Taylor Carpenter-Steele for Scott County Clerk.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has messaged me to say you’ve voted, that you support me, your words of encouragement, and that you’re praying for me during this election season. Your encouragement truly means more than I can put into words.

I also want to sincerely thank our poll workers, commissioners, and clerks who have worked tirelessly to ensure this election is fair, accurate, and well-run. Your dedication to our county does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for each of you.

To my supporters, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Win or lose, your belief in me has made this journey worthwhile. I appreciate each and every one of you more than you know.

I may be younger, but I’m not inexperienced. I’ve spent nearly eight years learning this office from the inside out. On day one, I won’t be learning the job, I’ll be ready to do it.

Tomorrow begins early voting, and I am once again asking for the opportunity to earn your trust and your vote.

Nearly eight years serving in the Clerk’s Office have prepared me to be a reliable, honest, and knowledgeable public servant. This position is not about politics, it is about serving the people of Scott County with integrity and doing the job right every single day.

The role of Clerk does not come with on-the-job training. From day one, the person in this office must have the experience and understanding necessary to manage its responsibilities efficiently and accurately. Just as importantly, they must have the compassion to assist citizens during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

For many, coming to the courthouse is not a routine visit. You may be filing documents in a contested court case, navigating a custody matter, seeking an order of protection, filing a death certificate for a loved one, or checking on the status of a criminal case. In those moments, professionalism matters, but so does empathy.

I am asking for your vote because I have dedicated years to serving in this office. I love this community. I love the people of Scott County. And I want to continue doing the work I care deeply about, serving you with fairness, accuracy, and respect.

As early voting begins, I encourage you to make your voice heard. Vote for the candidate you believe will do the job right. Vote for the candidate who will serve fairly and uphold Arkansas law with integrity.

I would be honored to earn your vote for Scott County Clerk.
