Important Announcement – Family Intervention Library

The Family Intervention Library will close for the summer on Friday, May 22 at 11:00 AM.

The library will reopen on August 10, 2026.

During the summer, please check back periodically for updates, tips, and resources to help prevent summer learning loss and support student learning at home.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming families back in August.

Please note that the Family Intervention Library will be closed on May 12th from 8 AM to 1 PM due to testing.

Additionally, we have adjusted hours on May 11th, and will be closed from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Summer Workbook Giveaway
May 4–22 • Free workbooks for students in Pre‑Kindergarten through 7th grade.
Available Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM at 9261 Florida Blvd., Walker, LA 70785.

Workbooks available while supplies last.

How to Avoid Summer Slide
Support continued learning by creating a summer reading list, using online resources, enrolling in summer programs, encouraging skill‑building hobbies, continuing classes or tutoring, and incorporating learning into everyday activities.

Students should spend 2–3 hours per week learning during summer vacation to help prevent learning loss.
