On June 17th registered Walworth Republicans gathered and decided who they wanted to see on the ballot for this coming election season for multiple different town positions.. The race for Town Supervisor Republican Nomination was close, but we had a clear winner in the end and her name is Laura Elsbree.
Laura is a multigenerational Walworth resident who is deeply invested in the future of our town. Her mother Peg Churchill was actually the FIRST Woman to serve as Supervisor for the Town of Walworth. Laura and her children intend to continue to grow their roots here and contribute to the town's growth, economic development, and community saftey.
Laura comes to us with a plethora of experience from her time serving as a Wayne County Sheriff. Spending over 20 years on the force and then honorably retiring from the job in 2024. Laura brings all of that training and background with her. She has extensive training in anti bias policing, ethics, crisis intervention, stress management, and that's just naming a few. She has done research data analysis, and community outreach through the local Teamsters 118 all while making sure her girls are thriving in anything they put their mind to.
She has instilled in her daughters that drive to think of others before themselves, to go out into the world with good intentions. Creating leaders in their own rights in each of them. Although Laura wasn’t volunteering at soup kitchens or leading troops of girl scouts herself, she spent her spare time making sure she instilled those good values in her home, into her children so that they themselves one day will enter into the world and take pride in who they are as people.
Laura is the type of leader we need to guide Walworth through these next 4 years.
Vote Laura Elsbree for Walworth Town Supervisor!
