Last Saturday’s Annual Kids Fishing Derby was another great success!

We witnessed some amazing catches and loved seeing the excitement at the weigh station throughout the morning. Each year, we're grateful for the opportunity to host this fun community event and provide great prizes for our casting contest winners, as well as 1st and 2nd place awards for the top weigh-in catches.

With the uncertainty surrounding tonight’s weather forecast, we’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule this evening’s concert featuring The American Legion Band of Fort Wayne at the Central Park Plaza.

With more than 40 band members and their equipment involved, we do not want to place anyone in a situation where their safety or equipment could be jeopardized by the weather.

We are currently working with the band to identify a new date, and we will share that information as soon as it has been finalized.

**Please note that this concert is a Warsaw Parks & Recreation event and is separate from the Kosciusko County Freedom Fest activities taking place at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. For updates regarding Freedom Fest events and any weather-related announcements, please visit their website at kcfreedomfest.org or follow the Kosciusko County Freedom Fest page. The Freedom Fest website serves as a primary source for event updates and announcements.**

We’re excited to kick off our first Library Stories in the Park TODAY! 📚☀️

Join us from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Firemen’s Building located at 1013 E. Arthur St., Warsaw.

This week, we’ll enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities with the Warsaw Community Public Library as we spend time reading, learning, and having fun together.

Please note that parking is available in the Firemen's Building parking lot. If that lot is full, please park in the Pike Lake Beach parking lot and walk back to the building.
For safety and access reasons, please do NOT park along the road leading to the building or along the trail.

Join us for a relaxing evening of creativity and lakeside views! Paint with Me at Center Lake invites adults and children ages 3 and up to come together and capture the beauty of Center Lake on canvas.

This guided paint experience will take place on the lawn near the gazebo in Nye Park, offering the perfect scenic backdrop for artists of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a fun night out with the kids, this event is designed for everyone to enjoy.

Each registered participant will receive a 9”x12” canvas, and all painting supplies will be provided—just bring your creativity!

Registration is required and is $10 per each person painting. Registration will be open through June 24th, unless filled. Spots are limited, so be sure to register early. Registration can be done by clicking the registration link below:

We’re kicking off the season with our Community Paddle Boarding & Canoeing Event from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. — and you’re invited!

Before you head out, here are a few quick reminders:
• No registration needed, but all participants must have a current waiver & rules form on file (updated yearly).
• Participants under 18 need a parent/guardian signature.
• Participants under 16 must have an adult in the water with them.
• Paddle boards, canoes, and life vests are provided.
• Equipment is first come, first served and shared in timed sessions so everyone can join in.
• Staff will give a brief safety overview before you hit the water.
• All activities are supervised by Parks staff.

Join us this morning from 8:00–11:00 a.m. at Bixler Park! Kids ages 3–16 are invited to cast their lines and compete for the biggest catch of the day.

The first 50 participants will receive a special goody bag—so come early!

What to bring:
• Fishing pole
• Bait

We’ll provide buckets to help transport catches to the weigh station and ensure all fish are safely returned to the lake.

Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish and more—don’t miss out on the fun!

No pre-registration needed—just sign up when you arrive and join us for a great morning at the lake!
