The Virginia Department of Social Services is excited to offer new programs that empower young adults and strengthen families across the Commonwealth.

Through the Responsible Parenting Initiative, FREE one-day workshops are now available! These sessions will focus on strengthening the core skills that support healthy parenting and family-focused decision‑making. They’re especially valuable for 18–24‑year‑olds as they make choices and navigate situations that will shape their long‑term relationships and financial habits.

Built on expert-designed curriculum and proven strategies, these sessions cover real-life topics like:
- Communication and conflict resolution
- Financial awareness and stability
- Building healthy relationships
- Understanding child and family dynamics
