Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee Chairman

Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee Chairman News and updates from the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, led by Chairman @SenatorTester Senator Jon Tester serves as the Chairman of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee for the 117th Congress.

America’s veterans have sacrificed greatly for our nation, and when they come home, it’s our turn to work for them. It’s our responsibility to make sure all veterans receive the care and benefits they have earned. I look forward to working with Ranking Member Moran, the Republicans, Democrats, and Independents on the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee, and Veteran Service Organizations, to ensure we are delivering on this nation's commitment to the men and women who have been in uniform. I believe that Congress must hold the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accountable in delivering timely, quality, and robust care and benefits to all veterans. We must continue improve veterans’ and servicemembers’ access to mental health care, reform VA Community care, strengthen accountability, and address workforce shortages at VA.

Will you please look at the incomplete information that the VA has on me? Full name me, and first and last me, needs to be the same person!
Senator Tester - Thank-you for your work as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs in the present. 💚 BUT - Please don't forgot about the tens of thousands of military personnel (including WACS, MP's, and Chemical Corps) that served on the historical Ft. McClellan, Alabama. Congress and the VA have largely ignored FMC's toxic legacy and the harm to U.S. military veterans! Veterans deserve MUCH better! Please support legislation like the TEAM ACT introduced yesterday by Senator's Tillis & Hassan! 💚
Hello...any updates with the post 9/11 GI Bill Transiferability Act? My husband served 25 years and we aren’t able to transfer his benefits to dependents.
Please don’t delay the Caregiver stipend to our WWII, Korean and Vietnam War Veyerans w a 100% physical wounds 90% of post 9/11 being paid claim PTSD a possible MILD TBI and or drug alcohol abuse They still DRIVE, SHOP, TRAVEL etc etc Our PRE 9/11 can’t do these things due to wounds of war
Sir, K2 Uzbekistan Vets need your support in the Senate! Toxic Exposures (radiation, DU, nerve and blister agent, POL stores) have made many of us sick, and our group of Veterans has a high rate of cancer. Many have already fallen. Help us by mirroring this House Bill, to allow bureaucratic-free healthcare to those who need and deserve the help!! Thank you!
I wonder how much easier life would be if Secure Messenger worked on benefits.va.gov Its been in Place for years, its such a shame it doesn't send, It sends it to drafts, and never sends out. Maybe someone important in life will read this.
Last week the VA announced they have given out over 200,000 Narcan kits, yet we still dont know how many veterans were losing to overdoses. Don't you think it's time to find out that part of the mental health crisis?
Is it possible to consider reestablishing the Fort McClellan Health Registry? May were exposed and not rated or cared for for conditions that have developed.
Please take care of 65,000 Veterans’ Widows who are caught in the egregious “Widows Tax” by supporting and funding S622. I am one of these widows whose husband served our country for 30 years and died because of that service. My income is reduced by $12,000 a year because of the SBP-DIC Offset.
Veterans are taking Chinese-made prescription drugs. Thanks to MOAA for article revealing this.
