The State of Data in Open Contracting – Development Gateway – Data and digital solutions for international development.

This past year has highlighted the global importance of public procurement. We witnessed the vulnerabilities involved as governments raced to procure PPE, ventilators, and other necessary resources at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, and now procurement of vaccines. So where does open contracting (OC) currently stand? Read more from DG's Taryn Davis below!

Building on DG’s open contracting work and reinforced by the global pandemic, we took stock. So where does open contracting data currently stand? Frankly, it is promising, but we still have a way to go.

Using Gender-Responsive Data in the Extractives Sector – Development Gateway – Data and digital solutions for international development.

New DG paper series alert! Over the last few years at DG, we’ve worked to design solutions that focus not only on gathering key extractives sector #data, but also helping our partners boost #datause.

What else can we do to close the gap between data collection, and data use that impacts opportunities for women and girls? Let’s discuss.

Check out the paper written here, in English and French: https://developmentgateway.org/publication_landing/policy-paper-gender-data-extractives/

You have changed the algorithm for notices of tenders. For the last 10 days I have been receiving totally irrelevant postings. What I get in response is a boilerplate email that says "change your key words". When those key words have provided appropriate tenders since dgmarket began, and now I'm getting meaningless information, the problem is on your end, not mine. Clearly you aren't paying any attention to correspondence.
