"Today, 22 countries hold 900 tons of weapons-usable nuclear materials. A single terrorist attack using just a few pounds in a homemade explosive could cause mass casualties and untold global financial chaos." It just takes one nuclear attack to cause unimaginable damage. Read Partnership for America's joint statement with the Arms Control Association to see what you can do to help prevent nuclear terrorism:

Congress needs to wake up to nuclear security threat

PSA is proud to announce the publication of a joint op-ed with the Arms Control Association on the need to reengage Congress on nuclear security. Highlighting findings in PSA and ACA’s recent study of congressional attitudes on nuclear security, the op-ed urges Congress to reengage in global leadership despite declining congressional concern towards nuclear security. Bipartisan leaders in nuclear security like Senator Dianne Feinstein and Senator Lamar Alexander should be recognized for their efforts, but more attention is needed. We present 3 recommendations to empower Congress to take the lead in combating nuclear terrorism.

Jack Brosnan, Kingston Reif, Andy Semmel, and Nathan Sermonis recommend three actionable ideas for Capitol Hill.
