Dear Community Members,

We are dedicated to our mission to provide safe and affordable housing for LGBT+ adults ages 25 to 49 experiencing domestic violence or discrimination. Currently, we offer a range of services to support our community, including housing referrals and advisement, counseling, financial education, and legal referrals to our local nonprofit collaborators.

This mission cannot be carried out without the assistance of the community, organizations, and the individuals that feel this need is great enough to support.

We had fun at Safe Place yesterday!! We sold merchandise, shared resources, and information regarding our current services at Capital Pride

Our goal is to offer housing to assist filing the current housing gap for adults in our LGBT+ community.

We currently have a goal to raise $360,000 by March of 2025 to start making this impact. To assist with this goal please whatever you can at safelgbtplace.org/donate

This afternoon our CLO, Chocolatté Miller, CHRM represented our organization by attending the District of columbia LGBTQIA+ Flag Raising Ceremony at the John A. Wilson Building hosted by the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs.

This was the 2nd annual event and the community representation was phenomenal!

Notes were made as we begin this pride month and gear up for World Pride in the National’s Capital in 2025 that this event respesents the work of the DC community and the level of inclution our officials strive for and are commied to uphold everyday.
