California’s Greenhouse Gas Cap-and-Trade Meeting and Teleconference
Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Noon to 1:30 pm PT/3:00 to 4:30pm ET

The Western Chapter and the Environmental Regulation Committee of
the Energy Bar Association are pleased to announce a meeting and teleconference regarding implementation of California’s Cap-and-Trade Program for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. California is on track to creating the world’s second-largest carbon market, behind the European Union’s emissions-trading system. The California Air Resources Board is scheduled to hold the first auction of allowances on Nov. 14, 2012, and the first compliance year for covered sources begins on January 1, 2013. Among the covered sources are “first deliverers” of electricity (including electric generators and importers), refineries, and large industrial facilities.

We need your helping hands! CFEBA & Habitat are working together this Saturday, October 6, on a project in Potomac, MD. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

A few more helping hands are needed as the Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association (CFEBA) & Habitat for Humanities of Montgomery County, Maryland team-up to tear out recyclable materials at a mansion in Potomac, Maryland that will be renovated into an Art Gallery, this Saturday, October 6, 2012 starting at 8:30 am.
