Today, I urged the New York State Attorney General to investigate RealPage Inc., which has allegedly facilitated anticompetitive behavior and artificially inflated rent prices.
New Yorkers are already severely rent burdened – we must hold accountable bad actors who manipulate the market to pursue profit.
Rep. Dan Goldman is calling for a state investigation into RealPage, a tech company accused of violating antitrust laws and allowing landlords to conspire to raise rents.

Calls to expel Palestinians from the U.S. are racist, xenophobic and have no place in our government. We cannot stand for rhetoric that fans the flames of hate in this nation.
Rep. Greg Landsman and I are condemning these hateful and anti-American proposals.
The proposal is "designed to inflame tensions which could result in violence," the Democrats said.

I’m horrified by the attack on three Palestinian students in Burlington, VT over the weekend and am praying for their full recovery.

Violence and conflict is sadly occurring all around the world, including in Sudan where the civil war has already resulted in thousands of deaths of innocent civilians.
My heart goes out to the people of Sudan who are suffering at this time.
Seven months into Sudan’s civil war, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and its allies are ransacking and capturing the Darfur region. An aid worker said, “People are dying like insects.”

House Rs talk about border security but won't engage in comprehensive immigration reform. Instead, they work to sabotage President Joe Biden and to defund the FBI, which would have catastrophic effects at the border. Let’s stop politicizing the issue and work together to address the border.

As we saw in yesterday’s sham "impeachment" inquiry, the House GOP isn’t interested in the facts since they undermine their baseless conclusions. Impeachment is a solemn, serious process, and the GOP circus is anything but. It’s time to end the charade and do the people’s work.
House Rs' first impeachment hearing not only lacks ANY fact witnesses with first-hand knowledge of the bogus allegations, they even tried to block Dems from introducing factual evidence. Why? Because facts and evidence would reveal the truth about this baseless investigation.

Our GOP witnesses today agreed: we need more immigration judges, to stop American gun exports to cartels, and expedited work authorizations for asylees. Yet these are all Dem proposals. The GOP has no solutions but instead want our system to fail for their own political benefit.
Rather than leading in the majority, the House GOP are failing the American people who sent us to DC to govern. Instead of funding the government, the GOP's been hijacked by extremists and are barreling head-first into a shutdown while wasting time on a sham impeachment inquiry.
Mexican cartels control human and drug trafficking across the southern border, and their own witness acknowledges that they can only do that using guns – over 70% come from the US. If the GOP were serious about this, they’d start by addressing the proliferation of US-made guns.
The House GOP has received thousands of pages of bank records and taken countless hours of witness testimony, and still doesn't have any evidence linking President Biden to any wrongdoing. Declaring an impeachment inquiry can’t change the fact that the evidence doesn’t exist.
Companies shouldn’t be surprising us with hidden, unexplained fees on utility bills, overdraft charges, airline tickets, and more – costing Americans over $65 billion annually. President Joe Biden and House Democrats are working to eliminate these junk fees and lower costs for working families.
91% of Americans want universal background checks on all gun sales. There's no other issue with such broad, bipartisan support. Yet the GOP refuse to listen to the American people and won't prioritize commonsense gun violence prevention. We must put our kids over the gun lobby.
Last year my kindergartner, like so many kids nationwide, had to endure an active shooter drill. He barely understands what a gun is. This is the reality they face when the #1 threat to their lives is gun violence. The GOP must come to the table to address this epidemic. Now.
No parent should ever have to choose between being present for their family and putting food on the table. We must make it easier for working families by passing the Child Tax Credit, expanding paid family leave, and providing access to affordable childcare.
This summer alone, we’ve seen it time and again – extreme weather events are becoming devastatingly common. The time to start protecting our communities ahead of the next cataclysmic event is NOW. Before it’s too late.
I’m proud to represent NYC as our city honors its long history of welcoming immigrants with open arms, providing shelter and support to migrants in their pursuit of the American Dream. But we can’t do it alone—we need the federal government to step up and do its fair share.
The GOP exaggerates crime by migrants yet ignores the far greater threat of mass shootings that devastate children and communities. If they cared about public safety, they'd focus on keeping weapons of war off our streets and out of the hands of cartels. Clearly they don't.
There is absolutely no evidence that President Biden had any involvement in or even any knowledge of Hunter’s business dealings. These committee investigations are nothing more than a fishing expedition to harm their political opponent and provide cover for the former President.
