Join us for Croisscience, November 9th at 1 pm EDT, meet Dr. Paul Valcke and learn more about a fascinating topic : Understanding complex system, from the shape of corals to environmental justice.

Register at the Eventbrite link: https://lnkd.in/eUmw2UbJ

Dr. Paul Valcke has always been fascinated by understanding how things work, and how things get into their shape. After a formation in theoretical physics of complex systems, he has done his Ph.D. on an interdisciplinary problem: how do corals get their shape, and how does it relate to their environment? He now uses the same type of scientific methodology applied to interdisciplinary subjects such as the coupling between economy and climate, in order to find paths toward a just transition.

Croisscience is a free event for the “30 ans de la Fête de la Science 2021”, showcases scientists who hold a Ph.D. from various French universities and is organized by D-Fi USA, in partnership with us.

We hope to share this great moment of exciting science with you!
