My experience with FutureDocs Abroad is second to none!! My trip to Mexico completely changed my life and helped set me on the path of medicine here in the US. It gives you a first hand experience as to how medicine works clinically and the outer workings of healthcare. You get to see patients and work hands on, while doctors from that area mentor you and teach you. Hands down the best experience you can get. Highly recommend!
If you want to experience culture, make future colleges that you will be close with, and most importantly get a first hand look at the everyday workings of the medical field, then FutureDocs Abroad is the perfect match for you. If you have the slightest hunch about going into the medical field then this program will be the end all be all indicator if you wish to go down this path. Over the two weeks I've been in Hue I've learned so much about the medical field that simple Google searches or just browsing the internet will never be able to teach you. From talking to patients, learning about different afflictions, and getting to experience death has brought me a brand new perspective about the medical field that was worth every penny. If you're asking yourself "Should I go with this program?" the answer would be a resounding yes from me!
Incredible opportunity for high school students wanting to entry the medical profession.
