Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association
Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association is a nonprofit neighborhood association dedicated to improving our community by strengthening relationships between neighbors, businesses, schools, churches, local government and other neighborhood groups.
MHNA works to: Local business advocacy for keeping and growing daytime retail small business within Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association boundaries. Engage with the city and developers on projects affecting the community. Maintain and improve safety in our neighborhood; Clean and green our streets and alleys; and MHNA's Board of Directors is elected by the membership. To facilitate activities, 4 committees address specific issues: Membership, Institutional and Neighborhood Affairs, Crime and Safety and Greening. We won't formally meet again until September 18, but lots is happening in the neighborhood and we'd love your involvement! We're working on activity to support Meridian Hill / Malcolm X Park, and staying abreast of and involved in a variety of neighborhood issues that affect your quality of life and sense of community. Please be in touch, in particular if you interested in planning maintenance and/or cleanup of the Park. Happy Summer!

A planned development project will significantly impact the current views from the Meridian Hill Park as well as the Historic White Meyer and Meridian International buildings. A neighborhood petition has been launched and we encourage all concerned residents to sign the petition. A picture of the proposed design is included with the petition.
The petition is to request that the Historic Preservation Review Board reject the design as currently proposed. The picture below reflects the design as it would appear along 16th Streets between Belmont and Crescent.

The residents of the Meridian Hill neighborhood and surrounding area urge both ANC and the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) to reject the revised Meridian International Project proposal. The new proposal continues to ignore several important concerns raised in the past by both the ANC and....
Unfortunately the October 18 Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association meeting has been cancelled. We will meet in November.

This is a follow up town hall from the previous one last summer. Learn more about the juvenile justice system and preventative measures taking place across the city. Attorney General, Karl Racine will be there to present and take questions.
