Video Killed the Sell Sheet Star: 7 Ways to Make a Better Invention Pitch Video

Having trouble creating the perfect invention pitch video? Here are a few tips from toy designer/inventor and UIA board member Matt Nuccio.

When I entered the toy business many moons ago, the majority of inventors sold their concepts by garnering interest via the almighty sell sheet. Great sell sheets would be adorned with bullet points, call outs, insets, and of course, a great money shot of the product in action.

Give Inventors a Chance: The PTAB Must Be Regulated

“The PTAB was supposed to be a faster, less expensive alternative to district court. Instead, it has proven to be the complete opposite on all counts. Proper regulation of the institution decision could solve many of the problems and mitigate most of the unintended consequences.”

Recently, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published a Request for Comments on Discretion To Institute Trials Before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), seeking “focused public comments, on appropriate considerations for instituting America Invents Act (AIA) trials.”

USPTO Rulemaking on PTAB Precedential Opinions Deserves Public Support

Companies that frequently defend patent infringement claims oppose Fintiv in part due to its strategic implications. Fintiv can, of course, deny defendants a second bite at the apple from which they might otherwise have benefited. But defendants were never intended to have two shots to prove a patent invalid

https://www.ipwatchdog.com/2020/09/23/uspto-rulemaking-ptab-precedential-opinions-deserves-public-support/id=125483/

The USPTO has submitted proposed rulemaking for review by the White House’s Office of Management and Budget. Although the details are not public, the proposed rule is anticipated to formalize prudential doctrines on trial institution that the PTAB currently applies through precedential opinions.

I am a NYC based inventor and would like to meet via telephone with some potential investors, who like my ideas and are able to take to the next level .(212)628-9008. There's plenty of time as I 1st must gear up for the next round...[email protected]
It is OK to THINK = INVENT but be aware you will not make any money, but others may. I have two >2< patent, 6446422 & 10525174 and has co$t me $60,000.oo and I doubt if they will ever get sold or used. I have the 105 on sale on E-Bay but no luck, = more money down the drain!
who is the best person to speak with about my product The Better Mop, it is patent pending and in the process of having a proto type made ?
Tips for struggling inventors When you invent, you understand there will be ups and downs. That goes for any entrepreneurial endeavor. Here are a few tips that will help you along! - As hard as it may be, being patient is paramount! I am not saying to sit back and HOPE things happen. Rather, know that any business does not get built overnight. - The most successful inventors are the ones that stayed the course no matter how challenging things became. How do I know this? I was THAT PERSON! - Put away your pride and let others help you! This is key. No one knows everything. When you let others help you that know more about something than you do, you will achieve much more progress and ultimately success when you do!
INVENTORS - The biggest and best deals get done when you keep pursuing them! When you reach out to buyers with your new invention, it can be frustrating as you wait for responses and of course good news... Keep pushing! It seems most every major deal I have done with retailers came after dozens of emails, calls, and follow ups. Had I ever given up, those deals would not have happened!
Here is why inventors SUCCEED! Successful inventors have a few things in common: - They understand their limitations and seek out help. - They are able to manage their expectations. Understanding that getting a product to market takes lots of time, tons of patience, and that money will be spent are key elements. - They learn about patents and trademarks and what their potential value may (or not be) be BEFORE they invest thousands in filing for them. - They have a strong mindset. They get through the tough days when they feel like giving up and they know that working hard and staying with it, assuming they have a viable idea, can lead to success. - They focus on making a quality product that carries a fair retail price and has an impulsive package that will attract buyers. Successful inventors are EDUCATED about the process of inventing and an educated inventor is the best inventor!
I have a patent-pending patent (Brake Light Message Board) that I would like to sell to one of the big auto makers. Can anyone help me make a contact with one of them? Possibly in their Intellectual Property Counsel, or their Design and Innovation department? To see my patent, visit: www.BrakeLightMessageBoard.com Thank you, Donny Burkin
I do television segments across the U.S. featuring products. I'm looking for inventors from Colorado (FOX), Florida (NBC), or the D.C. area (ABC). Must be a product available for sale now. DM me if you or anyone you know fits the bill. Tight deadline for Colorado. Thanks in advance!
