CCAP works to significantly advance cost-effective and pragmatic air quality and climate policy through analysis, dialogue and education to reach a broad range of policymakers and stakeholders worldwide.
Since 1985, the Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) has been a recognized world leader in climate and air quality policy and is the only independent, nonprofit think tank working exclusively on those issues at the local, U.S. national and international levels. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., CCAP helps policymakers around the world develop, promote and implement innovative, market-based solutions to major climate, air quality and energy problems that balance both environmental and economic interests.

#TransitOrientedDevelopment, also known as TOD, focuses public and private development around public transport stations to create communities where you can safely walk, live, work, shop and play.
TOD supports what we call “15-minute communities” and can cut driving and greenhouse gas emissions in half. TOD can also improve health and quality of life, reduce household travel costs, and increase return on investment for companies and governments.

New report warns climate change will threaten millions of children’s lives
Without action, a person born today will live in a world that is, on average, over 4 ̊C warmer by the time they’re in their seventies. At these temperatures, crop yields will diminish, air pollution will intensify, and infectious diseases will proliferate. The health effects of global warming wil...

President Trump’s plans to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate accord has been known for years. But his administration formally notified the UN of the withdrawal this week. Here’s what that could mean for future climate goals and what to expect next.
NASA scientists have teamed up with the state of California to map methane sources in order to reduce emissions of this potent greenhouse gas. The team identified more than 550 individual point sources emitting plumes of highly concentrated methane. Ten percent of these sources, considered super-emitters, contributed the majority of the emissions detected. The team estimates that statewide, super-emitters are responsible for about a third of California's total methane budget.
A new interactive tool, the Methane Source Finder, presents the California methane source data alongside infrastructure information. The data are derived from airborne remote-sensing instruments, surface-monitoring networks and satellites. http://methane.jpl.nasa.gov/
