Safety tip for the week: Unprotected skin can be damaged by the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays in as little as 15 minutes. Navy IPO will be providing safety tips each week to help you better prepare for this summer.

Safety tip for this week: never forget about protecting your eyes – exposure to bright sunlight increases the risk of developing cataracts, macular degeneration, and growths on the eye including cancer. So don’t forget to wear sunglasses when you go outside!

As we step into summer we need to be aware of the dangers that sun exposure can cause. This is why Navy IPO is proud to participate in UV Safety Month and help raise awareness of the risks of sun damage. During the month of July join us in taking action to prevent skin cancer and reduce the risk of UV damage.
