Many of our Afghan allies underwent a harrowing and life-threatening experience to save themselves and their relatives from the violence of the Taliban. Afghans deserve the chance to rebuild their lives in our communities without dealing with uncertainties about their futures.

The best way we can support our new Afghan neighbors is to encourage Congress to pass the Afghan Adjustment Act immediately. Take a few minutes out of your weekend to advocate for Afghan refugees now: https://vfai.quorum.us/campaign/38432/

Thousands of Afghans who supported us in Afghanistan have gone through unimaginable trauma following the Taliban takeover. In an instance, they were forced to choose between the only homes they ever knew and their lives. Many of them narrowly escaped with little to no belongings.

We have a moral obligation to provide at-risk Afghans who were evacuated with lasting protection from persecution. If the Afghan Adjustment Act is not passed by Congress immediately, their safety and futures remain endangered.

Fortunately, it is not too late for our voices to be heard by our Representatives and Senators. You can easily advocate for Afghan refugees by following this link: https://vfai.quorum.us/campaign/38432/

Humanitarian parole only temporarily allows Afghans to remain in the U.S. Once their parole expires, at-risk Afghans will need to find a new pathway to stay safe.

During the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, our Afghan allies were advised to protect themselves from the Taliban by destroying documents proving their U.S. affiliation. Without this documentation, going through the rigorous asylum process would be overly burdensome, difficult, and prohibitively lengthy.

This is a fixable problem but it is critical that Congress acts immediately. Take a few moments to contact your Members of Congress and tell them to pass the Afghan Adjustment Act. https://vfai.quorum.us/campaign/38432/

We echo the sentiments of the honorable Clare Daly, a member of the European Parliament.

"Meanwhile in Afghanistan... tens of thousands seeking refuge; five million children facing famine; 500% increase in child marriages; children being sold to feed families... Not a mention of it.

My god, they must be wondering what makes their humanitarian crisis so unimportant."

We cannot forget about Afghanistan.

Thousands of our Afghan allies have now been resettled in our communities, but their futures still remain unclear. Humanitarian parole will only temporarily provide a solution to the ongoing Afghan refugee crisis. Our allies deserve permanent protection from the threat of the Taliban. Therefore, it’s now our time to advocate for Afghans by urging Congress to pass the Afghan Adjustment Act. The AAA will help our new neighbors attain permanent legal residence in the U.S.

https://facebook.com/events/s/secretary-blinken-delivers-the/844682432898709/

Dear Mr. Blinken,

The P2 applicants have the following major issues:

1- When they are referred to 3rd country, how can they go there, when there is no embassy in Afghanistan to get their visas and no flight as well.

2- How can they afford their rent, food, and other expenses in 3rd country, as 70% of Afghans are living under the poverty line.

3- The duration of the procedure in the 3rd country is said to be (12-14) months, which is too long...

4- The passport office is closed in Afghanistan, so how they can cross the borders without a passport and visa?

5- The procedure of referral/approval got too lengthy and the instructions are said to be very unclear for the applicants.

6- if they refer to the passport department of the Taliban to get their Passport then it means their life is not in danger at all.

7- Pakistan flight ticket cost is around 900 USD per member of a family along with Gate Pass a d Visa cost. How can a majority of poor p2 fellows effort that much

8- if the p2 applicants relocated to a third country, their cases would be followed slowly due to now their life isn't in danger at all let them stay there for years.

We are kindly requesting to you that:

1- Please evacuate the P2 applicants as SIV applicants directly from Afghanistan.

2- At least Help them to cover their expenses in 3rd country, as there will be no jobs in the bordering countries of Afghanistan.

3- Shorten the procedure at least to 3-6 months in the third country.

Best regards,
Thousands of at the risk Afghans
Abdul Salam Ulfat was a national security officer in the Sarkano district of Kunar province and a former national security officer who wanted to fly to a third country through Mazar-e-Sharif airport and then to the United States, but the Taliban first stopped him at a hotel in Mazar-e-Sharif.
He was tortured and martyred while living with his family, then thrown under the roof of the same hotel and called su***de.

The U.S. government MUST plan to start the as Top mission of evacuation of the interpreters who are left behind in Afghanistan sad, embarrassed and SIVs are also very sad about this because all this evacuation efforts were actually scheduled for interpreters and their family members not everyone from streets like pakistani truck drivers and nomads as interpreters this is not good. dear respected president Joe Biden, please start the evacuation of these heroes as soon as possible and those kids are best people and they need some care and love and support we cant wait to see another wonderful clip please help us we are waiting thank you. as a human being I call from you sir to do our evacuation as soon as possible so that their day could be saved and they could have peace of mind
