We were so thrilled to welcome @repmcgovern and @congresswomannorton to the @giantfood on Alabama Ave today to talk about Produce Rx, our produce prescription program. 🍎

We were also joined by @whitmanwalker, one of our clinic partners, and we discussed the importance of produce prescriptions and food-as-medicine programs in general

We were also excited to have the chance to speak about The Well at Oxon Run, our upcoming urban farm and community wellness space in Ward 8 (in partnership with @friendsofoxonrun, @thegreenscheme, Soul of the City, and @dcdpr).

Rep. McGovern is a wonderful advocate for antihunger & food-as-medicine programs, and Rep. Holmes is such a strong advocate for all of us who live in the District. So thankful to have both these representatives join us for Rep. McGovern’s first visit to a produce prescription site!
