When the Kakhovka Dam was destroyed in early June, swift action was needed to help those impacted by the flooding. Through the pre-positioning of supplies, such as hygiene kits, safe drinking water, and cash for food, USAID - US Agency for International Development was able to move quickly to save lives.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families and friends of the three U.S. Marines who were lost in an MV-22B Osprey crash today in Tiwi Islands, Australia, and we wish a speedy and full recovery to the injured.

We are grateful to the Australian Defence Force, the Northern Territory government, the Royal Darwin Hospital, and all of the Australian first responders, healthcare workers, military personnel, and government officials who have reached out to provide assistance and offer condolences during this challenging time.
