It's #ArborDay - the day to plant and celebrate trees. Take a virtual tour of our 5-acres of woodland - the Olmsted Woods, or get out and walk through them in-person. https://allhallowsguild.org/visit-us/cathedral-gardens-virtual-tour/the-main-cathedral-gardens/olmsted-woods-and-pilgrim-way/

The Olmsted Woods are the last vestige of an extensive oak and beech forest on Mount St. Alban – now the site of Washington National Cathedral and the three Cathedral Schools. The Woods include a stone footpath, the Pilgrim Way, a contemplative circle, native wildflowers and shrubs, and a host of ...

@wncathedral will be literally ringing in the New Year! Visit the grounds at 12:30 tomorrow to hear the sounds of the carillon. #HappyNewYear2021

Ring in the new year with a free outdoor concert on the Cathedral carillon on Friday, Jan. 1 at 12:30 p.m.

It's all part of the National Bell Festival, as Cathedral Carillonneur Edward M. Nassor offers a special recital for New Year's Day from the Cathedral's 53-bell carillon.

The concert is best heard from the Bishop's Garden; face masks and social distancing are required. Happy new year!

It's not too late to show your support for the Washington National Cathedral Gardens this year. The gardens and grounds have remained open throughout this year and a small donation to All Hallows Guild will help us continue our work to maintain the gardens as a Haven of Peace. https://allhallowsguild.org/get-involved/donate/

Support the Gardens and Grounds It is through the generosity of donors that we continue to keep the 57 acres of gardens and grounds surrounding the Cathedral open (free of charge) every day of the year. This invaluable space, in the middle of our Nation’s Capital, relies entirely on private donati...

We Just Launched A Podcast! Our first episode is available to listen or download via PodBean. Episode #1 is an audio tour of the Bishop's Garden. During the pandemic, the gardens and grounds have remained open to the public, but our docents are not giving in-person guided tours. Now you can download the podcast and listen as you take a walking tour of the garden - or enjoy the experience virtually while listening from home. #podcast #garden #gardentour

During Advent and Christmas for the past 29 years, the Cathedral has delighted visitors of all ages with our annual créche exhibit. This year we have been able to move a small fraction of our collection online to share that first Christmas with you while our building remains closed.

Each nativity scene shows the Holy Family in the culture, clothing and landscape of communities around the world. Visit the galleries at https://cathedral.org/visit-us/creche/

Thanks for the shout out! We love supporting these beautiful Gardens every year. Flower Mart is sponsored by the All Hallows Guild and proceeds go to the upkeep of the gardens and grounds of the Cathedral. Please shop online with us this week using checkout code "Flowermart" and 20% of your purchase will benefit All Hallows Guild.😊
Normally this is the week where we'd be gearing up for deep-fried Oreo's, miles and miles of plants and vendors from across the city. Flower Mart has been a Cathedral tradition for more than 80 years. With the COVID-19 shutdown, the good folks at All Hallows Guild are taking Flower Mart virtual! All proceeds support the Cathedral's gardens and grounds. Shop online with Flower Mart vendors April 26–May 10 and many vendors will donate 20% of your shopping cart total to sustaining the beautiful grounds. Look for the logo next to their name and use code FLOWERMART.
Not even rain has stopped the annual All Hallows Guild Flower Mart Festival at the Washington National Cathedral. 2020 will be held online. Support the small business vendors. Mother’s Day is coming!!!!
I am honored to support the All Hallows Guild again this year — one of my favorite organizations in DC! Join us the first weekend in May for AHG’s annual Flower Mart!
