First Lady Dr. Jill Biden has two public events on her schedule today.

Around mid-afternoon First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, joined by a D.C. National Guard family, will accept the 2021 White House Christmas Tree. Together with the National Guard family, The First Lady will lift up the crucial role the National Guard has played in effectively addressing the COVID 19 pandemic across America.

By a White House tradition dating back to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Administration, every year an 18 ½ foot Fraser fir, a tree taking up the full height of the Blue Room, is featured as the centerpiece of the holiday season. To accommodate the tall tree, every year the Blue Room chandelier must be temporarily removed.

This year's tree will be presented by Grand Champion Grower, Rusty and Beau Estes of Peak Farms, who this year became third-time winners of the annual National Christmas Tree Association’s National Christmas Tree contest.

At about 4:00PM ET The First Lady will join The President on travel to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. At Fort Bragg together with The President, The First Lady will "..celebrate Friendsgiving with service members and military families at Fort Bragg as part of the Joining Forces initiative."

Later, The President, The First Lady will return to The White House.

President Biden will travel this morning to Walter Reed for his regular health care check up.
From the White House:
"Later this morning, the President will travel to Walter Reed Medical Center for his routine annual physical. We will provide more details after he arrives at Walter Reed."

This afternoon around 3:15PM President Biden will pardon the Thanksgiving Turkey in a Rose Garden event.
Today will be the 74th anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation. Per a White House source, The President will "..reflect upon the time-honored traditions of Thanksgiving, and wish American families a safe and healthy holiday."
The as yet unnamed 2021 National Thanksgiving Turkey and its alternate were brought up near Jasper, Indiana and after today's ceremony will be transported to Purdue University. According to reports the Purdue University College of Agriculture has an "enclosed indoor setting with access to a shaded grassy area," where the turkeys will live out their lives.

At 6:20 PM President Biden will leave the White House en route to his residence in Wilmington, Delaware with his anticipated arrival about an hour later.

At 3:20 PM Vice President Harris will deliver remarks regarding "..how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will benefit Ohioans." Labor Secretary Walsh will also provide remarks.

Around 5:30 PM Vice President Harris will leave Ohio and return to Washington, DC.
