North Carolina Secretary of State
Secretary Marshall joined more than 300 nurses from Moldova and North Carolina today for the third in a series of Nursing Webinars on best practices in fighting COVID-19. The NC-Moldova Nursing Collaborative, which grew out of the NC-Moldova Partnership, continues to create opportunities for collaboration between nursing professionals in NC and Moldova. That’s never been more important than it is now, as this pandemic demonstrates that many of the biggest challenges we face transcend national boundaries.
Today's webinar included presentations from American Nurses Association President Ernest Grant; Dr. Deborah Lekan, Dr. Audrey Snyder and Dr. Nancy Hoffart with the UNC-Greensboro Nursing School; Nurses Association of the Republic of Moldova President Elena Stempovscaia; and Guilford County Department of Public Health Public Health Preparedness Manager Alyson Best.
Many thanks to the U.S. Embassy Moldova, Ambasada Republicii Moldova în SUA / Embassy of Moldova to the USA, the UNC-Greensboro Nursing School, and Cone Health for organizing today’s event. #MDNCStrongerTogether

Thank you for defending freedom, and thank you to your families who have supported you and stayed strong during your deployments. This Veterans Day, you won't see crowds waving flags along the parade routes or applauding at ceremonies across the State, but know that the people of Maine remember the sacrifices of veterans, from today and long ago. All State offices are closed today in recognition of Veterans Day and we encourage Mainers to consider donating and/or volunteering in support of veterans, or honoring them by making your community a better place.
