Two tidbits of good news for you, county communicators. First, today is NOT the deadline for the NACIO Awards of Excellence. Earlier this week, we announced the deadline was extended to June 3! Second, we added one more category for those of you who are social media superstars. Traditionally, we have had Best page and Best Twitter Feed as categories (and still do), but we know a lot of you are on Instagram and a few of you brave souls have even taken on TikTok (I’ve been watching you Maricopa County LOL). To capture your hard work developing other social media communication platforms, we added Best Social Media (not Facebook or Twitter). Don’t judge the title, I panicked with I had to come up with something quickly 😊.

So, have a great Friday. Enjoy the weekend. On Monday, keep pulling together your submissions and enter the contest. Don’t forget to get your NACO username and password approved prior to June 1 so you can pay for your entries by the deadline June 3.
