Ohio's Energy Efficiency Resource Standard (EERS) saved the equivalent of 2.1% in state electricity sales in 2011, and could end up saving consumers $5.6 billion over the coming years. It's clearly important to the economic health of the state. And yet, it's getting pushback from First Energy, a major utility that doesn't believe energy efficiency is a positive thing in the State of Ohio.
