The American Resort Development Association prides itself on the strong relationships it maintains with regulatory agencies across the country.
Beginning in the 1980's, ARDA has worked hand in hand with these agencies to create a better regulatory framework for businesses and consumers alike.
Today, we can celebrate another successful partnership that has created a revised timeshare act that businesses and owners can celebrate. Working at the request of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, ARDA, along with several of its member companies, helped and supported the passage of the North Carolina Timeshare Act.
While we first celebrate the NREC for its vision and willingness to partner with ARDA to help the business community while protecting consumers in the Great State of North Carolina, special thanks are in order for ARDA's Legislative Policy Council and the law firms of BakerHostetler and Greenspoon Marder LLP, and ARDA's own Robert Clements for his work with legislators and regulatory officials to educate on this critical piece of legislation.
The North Carolina Real Estate Commission hailed the signing of a bill to modernize the state's timeshare laws and is working on its implementation.
