Social media platforms are using content moderation to discriminate against conservatives. Senator Roger Wicker recently introduced legislation to modify section 230, and the Commerce Committee authorized subpoenas for the Big Tech CEOs to testify. The CEOs will have to try to defend these actions when they appear before the Committee on October 28.

Facebook and Twitter limited the distribution of a story in the New York Post about a purported email between Hunter Biden and an adviser to a Ukrainian energy company.

Last October, the Commerce Committee was the first on Capitol Hill to convene an oversight hearing with Boeing leadership. Today, we heard from Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Dickson on what happened during the original certification process, the steps that the agency is taking to return the 737 MAX to safe flight, and how the agency can help prevent future tragedies.

In the interest of hearing testimony from the families affected, the committee also heard from Michael Stumo -- the father of Ethiopian Airlines Flight T302 crash victim Samya Rose Stumo.

Congress has an important role to play in helping restore the confidence in the agency.
