GWU JUMP JUMP is an NSF funded program that provides scholarships for talented undergraduates who have financial needs. This is joint program run by the Department

The Departments of Mathematics and Physics have received a five year grant from the NSF S-STEM Program for $614,440. This grant, titled "JUMP: Joint Undergraduate Mathematics and Physics Scholarships at GW," will provide scholarships to talented undergraduate students in mathematics or physics who have financial needs. It is the first such award received by GW. We will organize cohort seminars with talks given by professors, fellow students, and outside professionals. This will also allow the recipients of the JUMP Scholarships to interact with each other, and to network with people outside of the university. From time to time, we will organize panels on graduate school or career opportunities. For those students interested in working in industry, we will connect them with outside career mentors who will provide advice on career-related issues. During senior year, there will be opportunities to conduct research activities mentored by GW professors. Students will get a chance to present their research projects at the JUMP Cohort seminar, and at other undergraduate conferences.
