Dear friend of the Jack Kemp Foundation,
As we gather in the spirit of Thanksgiving, together or apart from family and friends we love, we want to wish you a wonderful holiday celebration. There is so much for which we are grateful, including the memories and lives of those no longer with us. And we take comfort in knowing that here in America, there is a higher purpose, a cause, for each of us to serve, nourished and advanced by exceptional leaders who have gone before us.
Two such heroes are Ronald Reagan and Jack Kemp.
Linked here is a clip from a dinner held in Jack's honor in 1988. A wonderful lineup of friends and competitors offered their gratitude that night for Jack’s service, including Jeane Kirkpatrick, William Buckley, George H.W. Bush, Lew Lehrman, and James Baker. Like these remarkable leaders, we also have deep appreciation for "the cause," captured so eloquently by President Ronald Reagan’s remarks from that special evening. We hope you enjoy his words and are inspired likewise to give thanks for public servants who seek to advance the American Idea. Yes, they still exist.
