Human Dignity International

Human Dignity International Human Dignity International is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) founded to promote change and stimulate holistic global development.
Our vision is to change this world…one community at a time. We hope to become a strategic juncture where specialized partners can come together to address complex issues and create synergies that make fragmentation barriers obsolete. As such, HDI mobilizes and manages human, financial, and physical resources at individual and collective levels in order to tackle issues and secure the common necessities that many take for granted.

As a community of leaders, Human Dignity International is motivated by a common understanding that each person is a part of a humanity created by God. We seek not only to act on behalf of ourselves and our own communities, but on behalf of others, who we see, through dignity, as members of the brotherhood and sisterhood of all humanity. Because faith must be accompanied with action, our mandate calls that we strive together to pursue a set of core aims, which we believe are aligned with property dignity bestowed upon humanity. These aims include: Justice | Respect | Mercy | Fairness | Civility | Kindness We are participating in a movement to take responsibility for the quality of life of our brothers and sisters. Thus, we actively involve ourselves in social and community issues such as: + Equitable allocation and distribution of public funds + Equal opportunities for quality public education + Equal access to healthcare services + Equal opportunity for full and meaningful employment + Safe and healthy environments in which to live It is to this charge and challenge that we seek to rise and work, for the good of our community, our society, our children and for theirs'.

Mission: Seeking to uphold the fundamental obligation to honor and protect the inherent rights of humanity, our mission is to restore dignity, health and prosperity to poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, cultures and people all over the world.

Thousands Of COVID-19 Antibody Tests Arriving in South Florida This Week

Human Dignity International has partnered with Abacus Pharma International (API), an industry leader in designing and distributing rapid tests for a range of viruses and diseases, to provide rapid COVID-19 IgM/IgG Antibody Tests to vulnerable and under-served communities across the United States.

API’s COVID-Rapid IgM/IgG Antibody Test is nearly as simple as a home pregnancy test, requiring only a few drops of blood from a finger stick and a drop of reagent. Results are available in under 20 minutes and are simple to interpret: one line means negative, two lines means positive. The test has 97% sensitivity and 97% specificity, and API’s long experience with rapid tests makes it a reliable provider. API currently has approval to provide test kits to medical facilities in the U.S. and expects to have FDA approval for home use soon. The test is already in use in Europe.

Antibody testing is seen as a key component to restarting South Florida’s economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

As response operations continue in Texas and Florida, we’re sending a light medical and rescue team to coordinate with and support Mexican authorities in aiding survivors of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Puebla, Mexico. In the Caribbean, we’re also monitoring the impact of Hurricane Maria and evaluating how we may be able to help in Puerto Rico and the USVI.

The issue of the ongoing cholera epidemic in Haiti and the accusation that the UN was responsible were addressed during Ban Ki-moon's visit to Geneva earlier this week.

In response to a journalist's question, Mr. Ban reaffirmed the organization's concern, as well as its commitment to doing all it could to ensure such an event never happened again:

"I again express the United Nations' moral responsibility and express my regret, we should have done much more…I affirm the United Nations' commitment that the UN will do all in its power to first of all treat the patient and stop this epidemic, cholera, and support the families of the victims and victims."
