For American Filmmakers, Godard Is Not Dead

"Richard Brody must be Jean-Luc Godard’s biggest fan in the United States. The Francophile film critic and New Yorker writer has published a number of articles about his work, as well as a landmark biography, Everything Is Cinema: The Working Life of Jean-Luc Godard. Four months after the passing of the French-Swiss director, we asked him about Godard’s 70-year career, his enduring popularity in America, and the time the two met in Switzerland. "

European ski resorts close because there's no snow

"Christine Harrison has been visiting Le Praz De Lys-Sommand, a small ski resort in the French Alps, for the past 20 years. The view out of her chalet window has always been more or less the same – wide expanse of mountains, hills and chalets, all capped in frothy, thick snow.
But this year, the landscape is barren. The skis have been put away. Many of Harrison’s fellow would-be skiers have gone home."

Higher temperatures and heavy rain have stripped many European ski resorts of snow, prompting half of France's 7,500 ski slopes to close and raising concerns over long-term prospects for the continent's winter sports season.

Hi my name is Aminata Bah,

I am from Chicago IL and I recently move to Washinton DC.
Also, I am the creator and owner of Naturally Beautiful.

Naturally beautiful was created because I realized, I love organizing decluttering spaces. Also, this came about when I noticed many friends and families of mine were just not organized and cluttered and it showed in their everyday life.

Think about your spaces and how do you feel right now?

This is where I come in, The places we live in and interact in should bring us peace.

For many people today, that is not the case. Everything around us is telling us to buy buy and keep. From our home, car, office and etc.

Sometimes less is more.

You can reach me at https://www.facebook.com/Naturallybeatpeace
Joseph Bonaparte’s glorious New Jersey estate will soon be a verdant public space with walking trails and historical markers detailing the Frenchman’s impact on world culture, art, and the landscaped environment. Magnifique!
Every week I speak to Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and other businesses and organizations about the incredible power of gratitude with a 30-minute talk entitled: “Conquering Pandemic Anxiety Through Gratitude”.

My Zoom presentation demonstrates how gratitude has transformed countless people in a world of way too many unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Your members will learn about:
• How gratitude can overcome any life-changing event
• The power of the “You Are” exercise
• The 60-second gratitude challenge
• How writing in a daily gratitude journal can change a life

With over 1050 gratitude videos posted on my YouTube channel, thousands have seen my message. I recently spoke in Honolulu, San Antonio, Minneapolis, San Diego and at our US military bases.

My published books include “The Brooker’s Daily Gratitude Journal,” “Six-Word Lessons to Embrace Gratitude” & other books on gratitude.

I would love the opportunity to speak to your group about how embracing gratitude can change their lives too.

“Gratitude turns what you have into enough”

Thank you so much for your consideration.

Gratefully,
David George Brooke – “That Gratitude Guy” / 206-371-8309

Sonia Rocca, PhD, Chair

This is a unique researcher and practitioner conference which we hope you will consider attending, with some of the presentations given in French.

"The Lycée Français de New York will be hosting a new international conference on MOBILE LANGUAGE LEARNING. The conference will gather scholars and practitioners from all over the world in a forum about the impact of state-of-the-art technology on learning and teaching languages.
MOBILLE welcomes all who are interested in harnessing the power of such technology to enhance language learning – preK-12 teachers, researchers, professors, graduate students, policy makers, school heads, technology officers.
Language learning occurs in various environments, in dedicated regular classes as well as in those integrating language and subject matter. Whatever the setting, this conference will focus on how technology – ubiquitous, pervasive and forever changing -, shapes the experiences of learners as well as teachers in primary school, secondary school and beyond.”

The MOBILLE conference has been awarded the "Academic Conference Excellence (ACE)" logo by the European Scientific Institute, this "certification only awarded to internationally recognized events that meet stringent criteria and are expected to result in quality scientific outcomes."
