MEMBERS OF OTHER SERVICES

Members of other branches of the service wanting to join AFROTC may apply for the Professional Officer Course-Early Release Program (POC-ERP) or the Airman Scholarship and Commissioning Program (ASCP).

They must first obtain a conditional release from their enlistment from their service's personnel system.
You can do this with a DD Form 368, Request for Conditional Release (check DoD Forms website for the latest version). Have it filled out then email it to us at [email protected] to get the Requester's Signature. When you receive it back process it through your chain of command for the appropriate signatures then include it in your application package.

Other service members applying for entry into Air Force ROTC must meet the requirements for the program they are applying to. These requirements are listed at the links below:

Airman Scholarship and Commissioning Program (ASCP)

Professional Officer Course - Early Release Program (POC-ERP)

To apply, go to the appropriate section in our "How To Apply" link, download the appropriate forms, fill them out, get the appropriate signatures and documents together and mail them to HQ AFROTC by the appropriate deadlines.

Substitute your service's equivalent (performance reports, personnel data printout, etc.) documents for those specified.
If you have questions on how to apply, please contact your nearest Air Force Base Education Office. For questions on how to obtain a conditional release from your enlistment (i.e., conditioned on your entry into a commissioning program), please see your military personnel office for assistance.

Pregnant? The Following May Apply to You

Pregnant individuals wishing to apply for ASCP, POC-ERP, or SOAR are ineligible. If you are a selectee for ASCP, POC-ERP, or SOAR and become pregnant, we may defer your entry into AFROTC for up to two terms dependent on your eligibility after being released from your doctor’s care. The deferment is not automatic and will require the submission of a deferment waiver to HQ AFROTC.
