Summer Camp starts tomorrow! If you plan to attend only on certain days, single-day registration is now open on the website.
To keep the momentum going from Winter Camp, we are hosting a Game Night at Summer Camp! Please join us for a few hours of food, drinks, and board games at the dojo on July 5th, starting around 8PM. Please feel free to bring your favorite game - we also take requests!
The dojo will be providing refreshments, and $5 at the door will get you pizza.
If you're coming, please let us know by commenting below. You can also sign up in person, either at the dojo or at Camp. Hope to see you there!

This year’s fantastic lineup of instructors also includes William Gleason Sensei, of Shobu Aikido in Boston. The below clip comes from Gleason Sensei’s seminar last year, at Aikido Eastside, with a few highlights of his instruction on unified structure and generating aiki. Enjoy!
The DC Summer Camp is right around the corner and we're looking forward to seeing you all soon! We are very proud to introduce this year's t-shirt in advance of Camp. It promises to be a special one, featuring a fantastic design by Stéphane Le Derf Sensei. If you register in advance for the seminar you will receive one of these shirts.
Thanks!
(EDIT 6/29/2018: Camp registration is still open until midnight on 6/30, and a t-shirt will be included with your registration! However, the order for t-shirts has already been fulfilled by the printer, so unfortunately we can not accommodate an additional order for extra shirts or for non-attendees.)
Summer Camp is just one week away! Registration is still open until midnight Saturday, June 30. Go to the link in the first comment below for details.
To showcase another of the excellent instructors coming to lead training, here is a clip of George Ledyard Sensei, of Aikido Eastside in Bellevue, Washington. Working from a platform of boxing-style attacks, Ledyard Sensei gives an applied lesson on the entry in Aikido. Enjoy!
This year’s Summer Camp will feature several of our amazing instructors from Shobukan Dojo, including: Robert Deppe, Eugene Lee, Don Moock, Chris Royal, and Steve Schneid.
Deppe Sensei has given several recent seminars on the East Coast. This clip on nikkyo and soft power is taken from a visit to Tampa’s Chuseikan Dojo last November. Enjoy!
Continuing to spotlight the great instructors at this year’s Summer Camp, here is a clip of Stéphane Le Derf Sensei, of Aïkido Club du Baou in Nice, France, using aiki jo movements as a basis for teaching the entry in irimi nage. Enjoy!
