JOIN US IN CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL FLAG DAY!

Flag Day falls within National Flag Week, a time when Americans reflect on the foundations of the nation’s freedom. The flag of the United States represents freedom and has been an enduring symbol of the country’s ideals since its early days. During both events, Americans also remember their loyalty to the nation, reaffirm their belief in liberty and justice, and observe the nation’s unity.

Many people in the United States honor this day by displaying the American flag at homes and public buildings. Other popular ways of observing this holiday include: flag-raising ceremonies; Flag Day services; school quizzes and essay competitions about the American flag; musical salutes; street parades; and awards for special recognition.
Organizations such as The National Flag Day Foundation are actively involved in coordinating activities centered on the event and keeping the flag’s traditions alive.

Following Flag Day is Honor America Days, a 21-day period through to Independence Day (July 4) to honor America. During this period, people hold public gatherings and activities to celebrate and honor the nation.

Today, DiLorenzo staff wore denim jeans to show support for victims of sexual assault.

#DenimDay came about as a result of a 1992 Italian Supreme Court case that ruled a rape victim consented to sex because she was wearing tight jeans and had to help her attacker to get them off.

In an act of protest to the ruling, the women of the Italian Parliament began wearing denim jeans to work and the movement was born.

Join us, and wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate yourself and others about sexual assault.

Good luck to SPC Justin Krieger and SGT Adan Pierre who were hard at work yesterday studying for the Best Warrior Competition!

The Best Warrior Competition recognizes Soldiers who demonstrate commitment to the Army values, embody the Warrior Ethos, and represent the Force of the Future. The Warriors who compete in this year’s events at local levels and the Department of Army Best Warrior Competition represent a broad spectrum of the men and women from across the Army and hometowns across America. Each has answered the nation’s call for selfless service and sacrifice. They are standard bearers of the Army Profession.

03/11/2019

DTHC is excited to announce its participation in Patient Safety Awareness Week. The goal of this week is to increase awareness of our patient safety activities and develop lasting partnerships among our team members, patients, and our community.

During the week of March 10-16, 2019, DTHC will observe Patient Safety Awareness Week to demonstrate our commitment to working together with our patients to provide the safest care possible. The theme for the week is “United for Patient Safety.” Everyone in the health care process plays a role in delivering safe care, and by uniting together and sharing that common goal, we can make a difference in patient safety. From patients to care providers, from the front lines to the command suite, from the patient and family advocate to the corporate solutions provider — we are all united in the goal of keeping patients and those who care for them free from harm.

On Tuesday, March 12 DTHC will host a Patient Safety Week Event from 0700- 1500. During this time we will provide educational information in regards to patient safety to our team members, community, and our patients.

Please join us as we celebrate our successes, lessons learned, and commitment to our patients while creating awareness.

Our Story

The DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic (DTHC) is located in a unique position at the Department of Defense headquarters. The clinic is an entry point to the military health care system where professional medical staff provide quality care to eligible beneficiaries and emergency medical support to Pentagon employees.

DTHC’s staff of credentialed providers, certified staff, and support personnel ensure patients receive quality medical care in a coordinated, efficient manner.

DiLorenzo provides compassionate, quality outpatient, and preventive medical care to TRICARE beneficiaries and first echelon emergency medical support. DTHC offers clinical services to Active Duty service members and retirees who are enrolled in TRICARE Prime and have Pentagon access.

“We have unique missions in the Pentagon providing additional support to the Pentagon Police, the Washington Headquarters Service, and all occupants of the building,” said DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic’s Director Col. Thomas Rogers, MD. “At the end of the day we are here to provide quality primary care to our Service Members who are ensuring the readiness of the world's preeminent forces.”

are you still doing flu shots?
Gotta love technology. Called 800-377-1723 to refill a prescription. The automated line gave only four options for pick up at a AF, Navy, MC, or Army facility. No Pentagon pick up option. Then it hung up on me. So then I looked up Dilorenzo online and called 703-697-1188 which is listed as the 111th MGD refill call in - a person answered and said I needed to call 703-692-8810 so I did and pressed option 6. The automated line took me back to the four options above ... no help, no ability to call in a refill.

Team DTHC, remember this Soldier? He volunteered in our clinic to understand what medicine is about. He followed through with that interest in the most spectacular manner: Harvard Med School. BRAVO ZULU, Greg Galeazzi!!
