U.S. Job Growth Falls to Slowest Pace of Year

The September jobs report is more confirmation that Biden’s bad agenda is suffocating our economy. Democrats will do whatever possible to shift the blame for this poor performance to anything else but themselves. American businesses are withering under Bidenflation, and the proposed $5.5T in federal spending is only hastening that effect. Republicans want to get America back to work; Democrats want to create a cradle-to-grave welfare state.

The U.S. economy added 194,000 jobs in September and the unemployment rate fell to 4.8%. The Delta variant and a tight labor market held back hiring.

Cargo ships anchored near West coast ports could face a 4-week delay to dock, raising further fears over the global supply chain, a report says

From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Democrats have worked hard to keep Americans out of the workforce and dependent on government assistance. These policies had a ripple effect across our economy – what we’re seeing today with supply chain interruptions is a direct result.

Every industry is facing a national labor shortage. Ports don’t have enough workers to help get cargo off container ships, leading to major delays in the supply chain. A shortage of truck drivers and new regulations from the Biden Administration further hampers the supply chain.

If the supply chain crisis continues, we may see shortages on food and other goods across the country. This isn’t something that can be repaired overnight, but we must start refilling the workforce to ensure the supply chains are staffed and continue bringing Americans the food and products we need.

Congestion at key US ports could reportedly delay the shipment of items, including toys, clothing, electronics, vehicles, and furniture.

Top Republican says ISIS su***de bomber was prisoner released from Bagram Air Base, cites Indian intel

The ISIS-K terrorist responsible for carrying out the su***de bombing that took the life of 13 American servicemembers was reportedly released by the Taliban from Bagram Air Force base last month. This is a direct result of President Biden’s refusal to listen to his advisors and hastily pull out of Afghanistan with almost zero plan. He is directly responsible for the death of those 13 brave soldiers. May they rest in peace.

A top Republican on a key military panel said he reviewed intelligence that the ISIS su***de bomber that killed 13 U.S. service members outside of Hamid Karzai International Airport in August was a prisoner released from Bagram Air Base after the Taliban seized control of the facility.

I had a great roundtable discussion with the Business Coalition for Fair Competition last week.

We talked about how the government can empower small businesses rather than impede them, how federal regulations and tax hikes can suffocate our local job creators. Small businesses are crucial not only to our local economies, but to the American way of life, and they will always have my support in Congress.

Opinion | Biden’s Energy Price Shock

President Biden’s anti-American energy policies are driving up prices at the pump, destroying jobs, and increasing dependency on foreign energy. After reversing all the progress President Trump made for American energy independence, the Biden Administration continues to put America last – begging OPEC to increase oil production while preventing domestic companies from doing the same.

As oil prices soar around the globe and countries face shortages, it’s paramount that American energy flourishes and we become not only energy-independent, but energy-dominant.

Oklahoma is an essential part of our domestic energy supply, the 4th largest producer of both oil and natural gas in the nation. We understand the importance of strengthening the energy industry that employs our people, powers our cars and homes, and is the single-largest contributor to education funding in the state. Biden’s policies are not good for energy, they’re not good for Oklahoma, and they’re not good for America.

His policies are already contributing to global oil supply shortages.

In September, I was fortunate to breathe some fresh air and spend a full day in Bartlesville.

The day started early with Bartlesville Daybreak Rotary, and ended with Amarekan Manufacturing. In between that time, I interviewed with Bartlesville Monthly Magazine, spoke to students at Wesleyan Christian School, and had lunch with Washington County agriculture leaders - all incredible people.

It’s great to be an American, but I thank God I’m an Oklahoman.

Amidst the chaos and confusion of infrastructure and reconciliation this week, there was a very important vote in the Senate yesterday.

I spent a lot of time this spring talking about my Roadmap to Reform package – it included the No Budget, No Pay Act, a bill that would withhold pay from members of the US House and Senate if we don’t pass a budget and all regular appropriations bills by the October 1st deadline outlined in the Congressional Budget Act of 1974.

A lot of people in DC told me that bill would never go anywhere, that politicians would never vote to hold themselves accountable. Yesterday, 53 Senators did, including 8 Democrats.

There’s an appetite for this in Congress. There is support for reform, and it’s coming from both sides of the aisle. I’m really encouraged by this vote in the Senate yesterday, and I hope to be able to get my House colleagues on the record on this issue soon.

The American people deserve a Congress that works for the PEOPLE, not the politicians.

Last night, I was proud to play on the Republican team for our big win in the Congressional Baseball Game!

The Congressional Baseball Game is a lively tradition on Capitol Hill to bring Republicans and Democrats together for a night of bipartisanship and baseball at Nationals Stadium in Washington, DC.

We all got to witness a real treat when my friend Greg Steube from Florida hit an out-of-the-park home run. Greg pitched for the GOP team and caught the out that sealed our victory in the 7th inning – truly the MVP of the game!

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to play America’s favorite pastime with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and we raised over $1 million for charities like the Boys and Girls Club. Now, it’s back to work in Congress!

Mayorkas says as many as 12K out of 17K migrants have been released into US, and ‘it could be higher’

In a Presidency defined by crisis, Biden’s latest blunder is a direct failure of one of the most important duties of a president: to protect the sovereignty of the United States of America. This past week, Americans watched the scenes from the migrant camps in Del Rio in horror as DHS Secretary Mayorkas continually claimed that the “border is secure”.

Secretary Mayorkas now estimates that “between 12,000 and 17,000” migrants have been released into the United States. Despite what the current administration may say, President Biden’s message to the world is very clear: our borders are open, and he isn’t stopping you from coming.

This was completely avoidable. The situation at the southern border is a direct result of Biden’s political vendetta against President Trump, reversing his effective border policies on Day 1. Now, our southern border is unprotected, our Border Patrol is overwhelmed, and there is no end in sight to this crisis.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday the vast majority of Haitian migrants who recently crossed the southern U.S. border have already been released into the U.S., and more may follow them.

It’s going to be a busy week here in Washington D.C., with Congress set to vote on an unprecedented $5.5 TRILLION in spending. The Democrats will attempt to pass both the $1.2 trillion misnomer “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act” and the behemoth $4.3 trillion budget reconciliation plan to fund Biden’s unpopular agenda.

While I wholeheartedly believe our nation needs investment in infrastructure, misleading the American people about the contents of a bill is not the way to do it. Less than 10% - about $110 billion – of the so-called infrastructure package goes to actual infrastructure: roads, bridges, airports, and broadband. Roughly $1 trillion will go toward Green New Deal programs, including electric vehicle tax breaks for people making up to $800,000/year.

Speaker Pelosi has said that the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill and the $4.3 trillion budget reconciliation bill are linked, meaning that they a vote for one cannot happen without a vote for the other. Both of these bills are on the plate this week, the end result being the largest expansion of the federal government in history. This includes unprecedented tax hikes on American families and small businesses, despite the fact that our economy is still recovering from a global pandemic and soaring inflation.

To make it an even more eventful week in Washington, the deadline to fund the government is on Thursday and Democrats may shut the government down if they can’t agree on a plan to move forward. Let me be clear, Democrats have control over every lever of government. Even though they have full control, they continue to blame Republicans for all the problems they create, including this impending shutdown.

As always, I will continue to fight for the people of Oklahoma’s First District and Americans everywhere against frivolous government spending and unconstitutional overreach.

I joined Rick Couri on The Blitz 1170 earlier this month for the Union football halftime show.

During my 35-year career in small business, I enjoyed starting a high school sports magazine that featured the hard work these young people put in on the field and off the field.

I hope all our student-athletes play hard and play safe tonight!

The bill the Democrats have on the House floor this week would override any state-level legislation and make all 50 states late-term abortion states. Very few countries allow elective abortions after 20 weeks, including the United States, North Korea, and China.

If this bill is passed into law, we will sink lower than human rights violators like North Korea and China with some of the most egregious abortion laws in the world. I will vote ‘no’ on this bill tomorrow and will continue to support our most vulnerable Americans – the unborn.

Tulsa restaurants adjust hours, raise menu prices as the struggle to find labor continues

While President Biden touts the “success” of his Build Back Better plan, small businesses across the country are suffering. Local small businesses in Tulsa and around Oklahoma are having to raise prices and cut hours of operation because they can’t find enough workers to properly staff their restaurants. The cradle-to-grave welfare state that the Democrats are attempting to create is suffocating our economy and encouraging people to stay home rather than go to work.

As the great Ronald Reagan said: “I believe the best social program is a job.” It’s time to get America back to work.

Many restaurant owners are working extra and alongside their staff.

Instead of taking common sense measures to reduce inflation and cut unnecessary government spending, the Democratic majority instead left the federal government on cruise control and voted to suspend the debt ceiling until next year.

The continuing resolution which passed last night (without a single Republican vote) wasn’t even fully written until yesterday morning. That left us mere hours to read, digest, and vote on a bill that will have widespread effects on our economy and impact millions of Americans around the country.

The last time the United States government ran a budget surplus was 20 years ago. Since then, Congress has done nothing but run up the federal tab with no plans to pay for it. Our constituents did not send us to Washington to play politics and maintain a status quo that is clearly not working. They sent us here to solve problems, which clearly won’t happen under the current Democrat leadership.

Democrats to nix $1B for Israel's Iron Dome from bill to avert shutdown

Instead of taking common sense measures to cut reckless spending and prevent the impending government shutdown, Democratic leadership has yet again bent the knee to the radical left. They eliminated essential funding for Israel’s Iron Dome program, which you may remember saved thousands of Israelis from Hamas terrorists’ rocket fire in May. This move will put those Israelis in extreme danger.

At a time when our adversaries are building up military strength, Democrats have chosen to cripple our closest ally in the Middle East.

House Democrats will remove a provision originally included in a bill that would have helped boost Israel's Iron Dome air defense system in order to keep the federal government funded through Dec.

Joe Biden borrowing a page straight out of the Minister of N**i Propaganda Joseph Goebbels book: "If you make a lie big enough and you tell it often enough, the people will come to believe it"! The opening remarks to Biden's speech before Congress was pure demagoguery and garbage. Because of his well known "Pro Choice" position on abortion and the Catholic Church now suggesting that they will deny him communion, his act of placing his hand on the Bible and announcing it as some gesture of solemn truth and purity was pure blasphemy! I thought I had heard the worst examples of hubris by politicians before, but this usurper forges new ground.
Dear Kevin, please note that a Special Veterans Awards Ceremony will be presented to Jim Cameron, owner of Cameron Glass Co. on May 11, 2021 at 6:30 Pm by American Legion Post 110 Commander, Gene Roberts. Respectfully, Ted McElroy Post 110 PR & Media Officer.

Notice the regular Post 110 meeting will not be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. It will be combined with a special awards ceremony. Please mark you calendar for this event! It will be held at the Central Park Community Center at 1500 S. Main St, Broken Arrow, OK April 13 at 6:00 American Legion Department of Oklahoma “Employer of Veterans Award” 2021 Medium Size Business Cameron Glass is a Patriotic, Veteran Owned, Small Business, incorporated in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The company has been in business since 1978 manufacturing, fabricating, and engineering specialty glass, for a diverse variety of industrial and commercial applications. Although a small business with less than 100, fulltime employees, 14.6 percent of that workforce are Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. That includes the Owner and Company President, Mr. Jim Cameron. Mr. Cameron is a wartime Veteran with service in Vietnam. Cameron Glass has a history of hiring job applicants who are Military Veterans, into overage positions. If a Veteran is really in need of a job, even if the company is fully staffed, and does not have any open position, if at all possible, they will still hire the Veteran. Also, on the other end of that, in many cases Cameron Glass has held a position open and unfilled until a Veteran could become qualified for the position. When Cameron Glass advertises a vacancy, it ensures that employment agencies know of Cameron Glass’s Corporate Policy of, “Veteran” Preference in both interview and in placement. However, because of the Veteran friendly corporate culture, and the fact that the company is honestly a really good place to work, many of the Veterans employed at Cameron Glass were referred for employment by other employees of the company. The company has policy of providing an employment in-processing fast track, for qualified Veterans, with the goal of putting the Veteran in the shop and on the payroll, the same week they apply. Once a Veteran is employed at Cameron Glass the company has a “no hassle,” “no issues”, policy of allowing Veterans off work to attend appointments at the with the VA. Cameron Glass has been recognized as a Patriotic Employer, by the Department of Defense, Employers Support of the Guard and Reserves. Additionally, the company has been recommended for and is currently in competition to receive the prestigious “Secretary of Defense, Freedom Award.” Of Cameron Glass’s Veterans, three are currently serving Reserve Component Service Members. When the Service Members are on Active-Duty orders, including long tour deployments, the company pays them differential pay so they don’t lose money while serving their country in the military. The Company also maintains all benefits for the Military Service Members. Cameron Glass has a, Blue Star Family’s approach to its Veterans. And in reality, the company culture is such that the company realizes what Veterans bring to the workforce and that employing Veterans is just good business. All things considered, Cameron Glass is truly is a “Patriotic” and Veteran friendly “Employer of Veterans.”
I would like to voice my concern regarding the CDC's lack of attention to the Cruise Industry. Our US cruise ports and many ancillary businesses have lost billions of dollars in revenue and the industry is now finding home ports in countries other than the US. This is a travesty to many of our cities, supporting businesses and to the many thousands of US cruisers.

It has come to my attention that my House representative, Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK), along with 163 other members of Congress, ALL Republican, voted AGAINST HR 908 in September 2020. HR908 is a 1-page bill that simply condemns hateful acts and rhetoric against Asian-Americans. I've read it in its entirety and cannot understand why anyone would vote against it - unless it is a cowardice to call out racist and harmful rhetoric for what it is, especially when it comes out of the mouth of the party head, Trump. Representative Kevin Hern - why did you refuse to stand up for your Asian constituents last September, despite the evidence that this hateful rhetoric during the pandemic has endangered our lives? Why is it that I do not see one public statement of concern around the horrific tragedy in Atlanta that has shaken the AAPI community to its core, and instead social media posts about immigration? Do we not count as your constituents? Do we not matter? Here is a link to the language in the bill, as well as a role-call of all 164 Republican House members who failed to stand up for us in the AAPI community. Check to see if your representative has your back, and the back of your family and our community: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-resolution/908/text We are not going to forget this.
