Ocean explorer discovers 5 sunken WWII subs, giving closure to hundreds of families

Check out this incredible story — Ocean explorer Tim Taylor was recently presented with the Navy’s highest civilian award onboard Washington Navy Yard, in recognition of his work locating lost submarines.

"It's not about finding wrecks. It's not about finding ships," Taylor said. "…The importance of our work is to connect families and bring some type of closure and peace even generations later."

Effective Friday, May 14, face coverings are no longer required for fully immunized personnel onboard Naval Support Activity Washington fence lines.

This policy change applies to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Immunization is defined as two weeks following the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

I'm furious as to why it took over an hour just to get out of parking garage 405? Why isn't something being done about this? People were blatantly driving down the up ramps like selfish pigs with no concern for the law or for others who have been patiently waiting. This just added an hour and a half to my already 2+ hr commute. Something has to be done. I come in early to leave early only to have MY time stolen by selfish individuals. And finally exiting to the O street gate and some brain surgeon just directed me to the N street gate adding even more delay to get on 295 while I now wait for everyone exiting that parking garage! Just brilliant. 1 Hr and 20 minutes and not even off base and there's no accident off base. Someone needs to be fired.Maybe it's me. I'm in the locator. Bob Cavalcante Jr. GSCS (SW) Ret.
