Powerful speakers, current issues.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR SCHOOL HAS A TOXIC ENVIRONMENT? Many educators will discuss with me how their schools’ climate and culture is toxic, and how it’s hard for them to focus on the achievement of the students when the adults are in constant conflict with one another. BEFORE YOU CAN GET TO THE STUDENTS THE STAFF MUST DEAL WITH THEMSELVES. When the staff is not on one accord, the focus will never be on student achievement. All of the energy and time is spent putting out fires among the adults. Making sure that climate and culture are aligned with the vision of the school has a direct impact on where your staff will focus their energy on themselves or on the students.
