Summer Reading: "A Closer Look at the ACAE 2016 Clinical Education Forum", pgs. 69 -71 in the ACAE Corner column of the July /August, 2016 issue of Audiology Today. Read 4 excellent abstracts presented last April at the forum.
The ACAE Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that the new 2016 ACAE Standards have been approved and will be available at the end of the month! ACAE thanks the Standards Review Committee for its thoughtful and hard work, the many audiologists who contributed valuable comments, the AAA board for their ongoing support, the ABA board for sharing the findings of the Practice Analysis and the many ACAE board members who contributed suggestions and editorial comments.

An ACAE Standards Update: ACAE is working this summer on incorporating statements/ideas from audiologists, students, administrators in education and practice, who contributed so generously to our call for comments! We thank everyone for your contributions. Once complete, the ACAE board and Standards Review committee will review an updated draft. If plans go as expected, an approval will take place before the end of 2015. We'll keep you abreast of our timeline. It's an exciting time!
We hope our friends and colleagues are able to take time out to relax during these busy summer months!!

As an FYI, we are in the midst of reviewing comments from our proposed Standards and will keep you updated as they proceed. The ACAE Board of Directors will be discussing them at their upcoming meeting next week in Washington.

On April 5, ACAE celebrated its 10th Anniversary with cake and song in front of the ACAE Booth at AudiologyNOW in Anaheim. Mead Killion and his Barbershop Quartet serenaded us with a wonderful rendition of "Happy Birthday". Thank you Mead, the Quartet and everyone who attended the celebration!
